  1. Swings at ball 4. From the doghouse to the toilet. *FLUSH
  2. Hey De Aza. Want outta my doghouse? Walk this off.
  3. Nice catch by De Aza. Credit:due. I will support you if you do useful things.
  4. I almost feel for De Aza, who has been pummeled by baseballs all day. Almost.

Granderson gets such a bad rap around here despite being the Mets' best free agent hitting acquisition since Carlos Beltran, what did he do wrong? I'm with you '83. Even his usually down months of April & May he was producing. I understand the noodle arm in right business but not why folks are down on him overall.

  7. Ugh, Gelbs, how about picking up the call in a timely and thorough manner. Reyes with another kaBOOM. I have some Reyes kaBOOMS, pretty sure. OO, a special one .
  8. lil bit. That hadda hurt bad.
  9. Gah. I didn't wanna have to update this. Murphy hits another. Unbelieveable. 2-0 WashNats [fimg=300:2en5o9wy]https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-7V6N6JNVrd0/V4HLlzf3QaI/AAAAAAAAom0/HFlPHVp-EG0_fm-1VM7Rn3rFNLn7G8-2wCCo/s512/2016nfcMUFFY-z16.png[/fimg:2en5o9wy]

If I remember correctly, I was hoping he'd bite on the QO and come back for 2016. We were practically conditioned through the media that it had to be. We couldn't afford him after he raised his value during the end of 2015. And I pretty much bought it. I'm conditioned in regards to that too, that we are not a big city big market team. Guess I will be until something proves otherwise. I felt we were turning the corner with the Cespedes move and I'm going to try and continue to feel that way because even in my wildest dreams I would not have expected Muff to do what he's doing overall. Against us, I expected to get burnt, but what he's doing league wide is incredible. I'm happy for him.

I do but I firmly believe he will find his sweet swing again and it might as well be up here for all we are getting from De Aza. Stop it with these place holders. The future is now.
  13. OE: Ha, I made it worse.
  14. I'll have to agree with you about De Useless, and yes even tho he and Nimmo are both lefties, I would have liked to see Conforto to the break with the big club. Did you see De Aza hit himself in the face with his bat while on deck earlier tonight? I was impressed he made contact.
  15. Zvon wrote: DeAza, I've come to pity you. Lost. Kinda peeved. A bad comedown after that ecstatic game to open the series. I have to update this. Did they mention his current totals vs. our guyz? (they just did his overall) Anyone have this info? Crikey! .438 (21 of 48) with 6 HRs & 19 RBIs.
  16. d'Kong76 wrote: Get a split tomorrow, series means nothing. (sorta) Agree #76. I'll breath easier with a split. Jeez, how many times in recent years have we limped into the break?

  18. And to cap it off it starts pouring w/2 out in the 9th.
  19. Cabrera: Missed it by >< that much.
  20. IIRC I felt if it was a choice between re-signing Muff and getting Cespedes to stay, because of financial restraints, then I wanted them to get Yoenis. But being a NYC market team, we really should be able to afford them both. So I don't know if I lay this all on Sandy. I told you all last season. Murphy discovered lift and like a baby with a pair of keys, he's fascinated by it.

  22. LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr wrote: Probably. As for Verrett, 6-plus, seven baserunners. Not bad. But those walks-- especially the one to Scherzer-- killed. Yep, leading off an inning. I saw that and switched over to Mr. Robot for awhile so I didn't even see the triple. Scherzer looked a little shaky early on. We should have pounced.
  23. un fkn believable.
