During the rain delay, CCsportsnet is showing a Darryl Strawberry interview/special. He said early on he had "marriageaile" problems. lol. Actually this is a very interesting and honest look at the man.

So i guess you all realize the Mets can make or break the Phils chances for the playoffs, and the Phils can make or break the Mets chances for .500. This should be a good series coming up.

Phils won that game.... Houstons losing 1-0 to the Cubbies in the 5th. Atlanta drys up the Fish at 5-3. Its still quite an interesting race.

Good game and its really nice to see Piazza coming thru and puttin on a lil show for the fans in these, his last days in orange and blue. (I did read that he was interested in staying on in a lesser role, but he put that out months ago, and the Mets didnt bite, so these games are his farewell tour as a Met)

Well, no matter. METS WIN a fine ball game and are one game above .500 at 78-77. Its been a good day.

Mets missed a chance at insurance runs . They loaded the bases but Woodward PH for jacobs, and i believe he hit into a DP. It blinked out. It looks like Heilman for the close.

And he gets out of it by K'in Cruz. Whew. Reyes and Cairo with errors in that inning, could have opened the floodgates. But Padilla does his job, and does it well.

Im thinkin Padilla for the 8th, and then whomever isnt getting Pedros starts,......heilman or Zambrano for the 9th. If they send out Looper, Ill buck up and root for him.

Why did diaz steal 3rd there? Whats the point? 2 out. Well, he makes it. But Reyes hits into a force to end the inning. Now they gotta hold em. GOTS 2 Mets plate 2 and regain the lead. Theres some offense for ya.... Later.
