  3. Ryes makes it happen. Singles and gets second on an error. On a side note: Reyes has become the 1st shortstop since 1900 to ever record 55 steals, 20 doubles,15 triples, and 90 runs scored in a single season. Not too shabby.

You're eluding me in the alleys and sideways. whew...hwernadez gets out of it. He does his job, even if he had me sweatin. I think the fans have every right to pick Looper as a scapegoat, even though he is not the only reason the Mets have failed. Whether he needs to know or not dont concern me. Tonight i wanted more than anything for Seo to get the win. Looper ruined that hope. And why did Hamulack only pitch to one batter in that inning? I still dont know the answer to that one.
  5. oh. the Mets tied it. Edge with the rally song doin its thang. Kool. Ill shut up
  6. Edgy DC wrote: Booing a guy just for showing up is, to say the least, counterproductive. I see your point, but with Looper I can understand fans wanting to let him know how disappointed they are in him. Im a positive supporter of the Mets, and very team minded, but if i was there and he didnt get thru that inning, id be booin too. Before he even threw a pitch or allowed a runner to reach? Maybe not, but i would understand the people who would do that. He's only blown the hope of the fans in every instance and level that he could, and seemingly only at times when we really want him to do his job.
  7. TheOldMole wrote: On the TV side, they won't stop slamming Mets fans for booing Looper. What do they expect? i agree. I cant bad talk fans who boo (& just boo or yell displeasure) with Looper. He's been SOOOOOOO disappointing. He'll have to turn that around, and getting thru that inning unscathed would have done it.
  8. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO LOOPERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR I would just pull him off the mound and release him from the team in one move.
  9. I can handle Looper doing his job, and having the opportunity to do it. If he gives up a run I will be LIVID! LIVID i tell ya. i can handle anyone else giving it up.....NOT LOOPER! dont ask me why cuz I dont know, but thats where im at
  10. I dont understand why Hamulacks out already tho.......
  11. Edgy DC wrote: Long delay here as some of the lights have gone out. I expect Bobby Valentine would have been back there with the stadium management guys trying to get the lights on himself. i thought it was my internet feed going into suspended animation again. Okay---I can handle Looper 2night. Just do your job,Loop
  12. Atlanta has tied the Phils in a very exciting game, 6-6. Asstros still beatin the Pirates, but its now 10-7
  13. thank you sir! 'Your welcome Zvon."
  14. Padilla's holding Pierre as close as possible... good thing too. He would have scored from 2nd on Conine's single. Come on Paddy----do your job. hold em for Seo.
  15. Rotblatt wrote: I'm guessing Willie goes with Padilla. you guessed right. Damn that Pierre and his lil bunt singles. He's a Reyes wanna be..(lol--u know im j/k there)
  16. Piazza walks and Diaz comes thruu!! nice. Wright scores on the Diaz single 3-2 Mets
  17. Floyd hits one deep but not deep enough. Fly out. Wright singles. Comeon Piazza----smack one for Seo
  18. Whew...Seo gets out of a jam there. Encarnacion is stranded at third. Seos over 100 pitches. Would be nice if the Mets could plate a run and put him in a position to get the win...... I see no reason why he should continue on after this inning. Well, maybe one more. But i think he's done his job for the night.
  19. ="KC"]>>>Tonight is the anniversary of the night in 2001 when baseball returned to New York.<<< I have a file where i collect Met logos and Images (i have hundreds)and at that time one of my favorites was produced:
  20. Vargas singles and Pierre sacs him over. mmmmmmmmm. interesting. That stogie suckin McKeon is old school. Conine moves Vargas to third with a ground out. Dillon strands him. NICE TRY McKeon........need a match?
  21. ..........................a big black and blue blowfish? Says Piazza got a infield single. Anyone see how that went down? Seos over 70 pitches thru 4.... Im bummed about Wrights recent HR drought.
  22. Edgy DC wrote: To see how LoDuca ran out that double-play, I'd have the Mets bunting all night. Im tellin ya, the Marlins are like one big bruise. They are hurtin pups. They are limpin noodles. ......shall i go on & on & on?
  23. Frakin Lowell.........and he's ugly too.
  24. Edgy DC wrote: I imagine that the answer will be something like: "The kid was a little overwhelmed. I wanted to give him a blow and let him step back. He'll be fine" lol.....yep.Probly. "I dont wanna throw the kid into this high pressure pennant race we are still not in....."
  25. nothing in the game notes........ Mets - New York leads the National League with 144 stolen bases and is third in the NL with 55 pinch hits. The Mets are the only NL team to have six players with 10 or more steals and the team's .306 pinch-hitting average leads the NL. ... LF Floyd has a major league-leading 14 outfield assists, most for any Mets outfielder since Bernard Gilkey had 17 in 1997. ... RHP Seo has 10 strikeouts in his last 13 innings.
