  2. Davis .5 Valdespin 1.0 Cedeno 1.0 Bay .5 Torres .5 Dickey .5 Acosta .5 Edgin .5 E. Ramirez .5
  3. at least 8-3 or I'll probably never expect/care what their record is again this year.
  4. only his 6th year, as per MLB CBA 10/5 rules.
  5. John Cougar Lunchbucket wrote: Jeez. Apparently it's a Make Harvey Feel Welcome thing. Johnson was unimpressive defensively his first go up here but you're not giving away a thing in Nickeas. And how many pitchers are gonna have it out with Thole this year? Byrdak recanted and realized Dan Warthen's the moron.
  6. bmfc1 wrote: David Lennon ?@DPLennon More #Mets postgame shakeup: Expected to send down Mike Nickeas for Rob Johnson in catcher swap. Rob Johnson is hitting .184 in his last 10 games so he'll fit right in. http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?pos=&sid=t422&t=p_pbp&pid=453531 and is bad on defense. yay!
  7. She's also from Canada. Jason Bay asked for some hitting tips.
  8. Hopefully he gets some real bats and doesn't have to use his 70s from Spring Training.
  9. And a lifetime .220 average with 7 home runs.
  10. not bad for someone that's never been to a baseball game right?
  11. Edgy DC wrote: There's no pressure. Harvey isn't here to be a savior. He's just one man. I just wanted to be the guy to start this thread because it'll one day be a museum piece. Wade Milley starts for the Diamondbacks (who should be the ones going to the American League). Setting the bar low tomorrow night. Keep me interested beyond when Harvey departs.

  14. batmagadanleadoff wrote: Dickey as trade bait makes a whole lotta sense, especially if the Mets could pull off another Beltran for Wheeler type deal. eh. Trade a guy who will probably be top..say 30 in baseball for maybe 2-3 years if not longer, for a guy who might be top 10 for 6 or so starting in 2+ years and also might be ..Mike Pelfrey or Dillon Gee? I'd keep Dickey.
  15. Edgy DC wrote: Or Murphy. Murphy isn't an over the hill hall of famer (yet) who's prime was like 10 years ago. he doesn't fit the theme. But yeah, Murphy would actually fit in real well over there.
  16. Edgy DC wrote: "The Ancient Mariner" is taken, right? Jamie Moyer or Edgar Martinez or somebody? Besides, would Sterling really incorporate a nickname that acknowledges a player's identification with another team? After they leave Seattle maybe.. Bad announcing aside I've always though Sterling was a decently aware baseball guy, not as stuck on the Yankee-ego thing that he's so good at cheerleading as they're PBP guy. At least, the little I've heard him interviewed. But that might not jive with the theme of Yankee broadcasts to acknowledge the guy. Ichiro is probably more famous than most of the Yankees (in terms of people who know who he is)
  17. Edgy DC wrote: Whoah. Can Ichiro play third? They obviously are going to trade for Chipper, hold tight.
  18. seawolf17 wrote: Eovaldi's not a bad pitcher, but he's not an ace either. I'm intrigued by what the Astros are doing; they're dumping everyone and just stockpiling young players. Carlos Lee, Wandy, Lyon, Happ, Myers all gone, and about a dozen new minor leaguers in. And they're taking all those players to the junior circuit. wheeeee
  19. bmfc1 wrote: Not trade: Cole Hamels signs a 6 year deal to stay with the MFPs. The Philliies now have 66million invested in three pitchers for the next two years.
  20. Frayed Knot wrote: Wandy Rodriguez to the Pirates You'd think Pitt needs hitting more than pitching but everybody's going for hurlers right now. McCutchen counts for two hitters these days.

(aside from these freakin' kids I mean) Wikipedia claims she was just 16 y/o when filming started on that show. with prompting..maybe? I used to watch it on Nick at Night like twenty years ago when I was a kid. can't recall the song at all though. Can recall very little about the entire show actually, besides that I liked it.
