UI's not overly friendly imo. http://ottoneu.fangraphs.com/209/allocations There's an allocation tap on the lower header. Then you have select each team from the drop down near the top left that should give you their roster with a drop down for each player to select $1 $2 or $3. Gotta give every team at least $1 and maximum of $3.
  2. Yippee.
  3. A Boy Named Seo wrote: OK, I'm registered over there. Don't see the team yet, so let me know when that's freed up and I'll nab em. Thx again, dudes. Team abandoned. pick 'er up. Let me know if it disappears (Because some random goonie claims it) and i'll re-abandon.
  4. After he releases (or I release?) You'd head over to http://ottoneu.fangraphs.com/claimteams and find the Duda Wright Things team in the Crane Pool Forum league and claim it. You're good until 3/13 financially, but would need to spend 9.99 to renew for the next season. (and you probably need a fangraphs account) As far as responsibilities go.. Friday is the arbitration deadline. You don't have to really worry about this if you don't want, but we all spent money to raise the prices of your players, you have the option to spend $25 raising the prices of any of our players, at least $1 per team. After that, you can trade players, release players, etc until March when we all have to get together for a draft to fill in the empty spots on our roster via online auction.

Frayed Knot wrote: This thread will be kept open for another few weeks at least so you can take your time and get things right ... not that there's any true "right" answer but you should be in a position where you can justify your choices. Like, for instance, I would think it would take a lot of mental gymnastics to explain Baxter ten slots ahead of Young - but maybe you do. It's because Young was bad and Baxter had 2 walk-offs. I guess that's not entirely fair, I think I was remembering some of Baxter's 2012 since he got so little time. Screw it, off goes Mike. It feels like a tossup after like 12. points for memorable moments or good hair or something.
  7. Frayed Knot wrote: GEE whiz, the guy who pitched the most innings on the team can even crack the top 30?!?!? You're also Lagares-less, Hefner-less, and Shortstop-less. Some of those may be intentional, but I don't suspect all of them are. oh crap. I did most of this the other day and thought I was done. I definitely remember putting Hefner in (and am SS-less for a reason) edit: clearly I didn't save. okay, Gee, Hefner, Lagares..placement incoming.

  10. Duda Wright Things will be abandoned.
  11. Duda isn't a more ego than brains and not a drop of self-doubt typical jock, therefore he can't cut it.
  12. So we have an opening, who wants in?!
  13. LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr wrote: There are many, many, many better ways-- efficacy-wise and aesthetics-wise-- for a sports team/potential jersey-purchaser to assist or pay homage to veterans. yes, you can just make EVERYTHING pink for an entire month. That's really the only good way to do it.

  16. Tomorrow is manager, which is really the most arbitrary of them all. I went with Farrell and Hurdle.
  17. Is one of you MirMets69 or did we lose someone? (and if it's one of you, arb it up!)
  18. LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr wrote: Hey, maybe if they build a new place, the fanbase will be less frontrunner-y! Turner Field is in Atlanta the way Citi Field is in New York... peripherally, and ultimately, a park in the middle of parking lot ocean, rather than a neighborhood. Folks generally drive in/drive out; here's nothing nearby getting a Braves bump on gamedays/during summers. So, y'know, it's not like the city will actually suffer. yeah, but the 7 train runs directly to Queens and it's not an onerous trip from the island (From Jersey now, well, bleh.) And Mets fans, admittedly in less opportunity, sell out big games. Perhaps the Marlins did it wrong, but they moved further into the city and away from the side of the highway and it didn't exactly help much even though there was nowhere to go but up in terms of attendance. The A's are looking to move from a quick train hop across the bridge to the suburbs as well.
  19. BWAA mimics the earlier IBWAA announcement of Myers and Fernandez. Hey look, who's that at the bottom?

  21. TransMonk wrote: Yuck. Those are ugly. Do a portion of the proceeds from these jersey sales support vets or troops in any way? Doesn't look like it from what I can see. Looks like this idea is as much about supporting the Wilpons as it is about supporting the troops. Sounds like it's just an alt, but they do support Veterans already via the Welcome Back Veterans thingy, I don't know if this will end up enhancing that, but it seems like that's the goal. Edgy MD wrote: But just to be clear, they still can't wear the emergency responder caps on September 11, because somehow --- among the Mets, MLB, New ERA, and the MLBPA --- nobody yet has hired somebody smart enough to clear up any possible conflicts there. Don't want them to wear those either, but it does seem like if they can do this, they should be able to do that. Although at least these are Mets jerseys.

Like they didn't do this stuff already without inflicting it on the actual game. There are plenty of opportunities to use your status of being a major league baseball team for good and for promotion of good causes without mixing it with the actual game. But fine, let's get more silly stuff going then. Can we get spiderman uniforms for the next movie release? cause that'd be neat. But it's only 5 games at least. Wait a second! There's something about the Mets you don't like? Did you just criticize something Metly? Beer selection is subpar as well.

  24. Ted Berg breaks it down with a map (from homeofthebraves.com) that pretty much explains everything.
  25. This was the first year that the place hosted a game without Chipper Jones and now they want to get rid of it.
