  1. Oscars are submission based though right? Is it general submission or do you select categories when you submit your film?
  2. I think there are spots open in Ottoneu. It's the only CPF league I think.
  3. all about Frozen 2.
  4. =Centerfield post_id=30737 time=1580330959 user_id=65] Thanks! I think I'll try Guardians of the Galaxy next. I think that blue robot girl is sexy.
  5. if you're going for completions sake, just watch 'em all in the order they came out. But I'm halfway through like 3 of them in the middle so what do I know.
  6. OK can someone send me a link so I can see the existing teams and know which ones are open? Maybe I could have choices from the rosters being abandoned? https://ottoneu.fangraphs.com/209/homehttps://ottoneu.fangraphs.com/209/home btw folks, keeper deadline is the end of the month! SET YOUR KEEPERS If you want the Lunchladies you can have them, I need to do an audit and see who else is up.
  7. Different time in my life I'd be all over that pass. Actually, even if I was still at my previous job, which was right next to a theater. I'd go see half the movie for lunch, and time it so I could see the second half the next day. Any blackouts on that though? nights/first 5nights/imax? etc Now I'm more likely to see Frozen 2 than Star Wars. (I'll bootleg that and watch it on my own at home)
  8. Frozen 2 was lots of fun.
  9. good season everyone! I lost steam around August myself, not specifically to Fantasy but certainly inclusive of it. Expect the draft to be 3/18 at 9pm. Let me know if you're leaving or want to join, etc.
  10. Okay, picked up a Twitter rando, but he's a Mets fan so there's that.
  11. I'm finding no-one, even with the team sitting out for anyone to claim. I think, if no one does claim it before the draft, that I'll just release all his players and we'll roll with 11.
  12. Still need one more. Anyone know anyone or should I open to public?

I enjoy the weird conspiracy theories. like that Tarzan is Anna and Elsa's brother.
  14. We've got at least two spots open, so let's fill those. Can we revisit some of the discussions of last season? I'd really like to throw in a playoff structure. Obviously playoffs has to be Head to Head and either Otto points or SABR points. I personally don't think it's a big deal to switch from roto to H2H for the playoffs. It's just another layer. Thoughts on this? should I put up a poll? I figure the 10* of us's opinion has more weight than the two newbies. tl:dr Playoffs or no playoffs? 2. second question. Money? Otto is bumping up to $20. If we bump up to $50 there are Ottoneu built in prizes of 1st place - $300 2nd place - $50 3rd place - No prize Or we could personally commit $5 or $10 into a pot and make our own prizes/pools/payouts (cycle, 4hr, no-hitter, officially eliminate the Yankees from the playoffs, etc). We could do playoffs but still reward the regular season winner with $30 or something. tl:dr Do we want to put in a few bucks for a monetary reward?

  16. smg58 wrote: Wow, you're really bumping up DeGrom. Perhaps I should have kept quiet... yeah, I may have forgotten. I've gotten really bad deadlines. But this has been on my list for a while. my logic is basically "just throw money at guys you know they'll keep" We do need I think two? new people btw.
  17. Do arbitration! we need a few new teams too, who's in?!
  18. Lots of stuff to talk about this offseason. fight about. argue about. whine about. think the price is going up too. I have to look it up but.. 1. playoff format 2. Do we want to throw a couple more bucks in for a prize at the end? 3. possible change in regular format? 4. anybody leaving/coming? 5. when's the draft? Anyone got plans for mid march? I typically pick a tuesday or wednesday night at 9. Probably the 19th or 20th. But arguably we could do it waaaay earlier. It's not like a regular league where you want to know who's going to make the teams. knowing who's on the bubble is part of the auction/keeper structure.
  19. I apparently haven't been in..11 years?! and as such would be no help. It's bland and generic for the most part. meh stadium. There used to be good beer and food to be had though.
  20. hey guys, i finally watched this. I kinda loved it. But can we talk about how the 'seed of rebellion in all of us' stuff and how that kid at the end can use the force? There was a little too much "Okay, okay, he/she is dead. that's sad. OH WAIT NO" I assume the same will happen with Rose? I'm glad this didn't mirror episode 5 the way 7 mirrored 4. At least, it's framed as the good guys 'winning' even though like 95% of the resistance was wiped out and the outer reaches didn't answer the call. But they got the propaganda out about Luke facing off against the First Order and winning. But at the end of 5, Luke is beaten back by Vader physically and mentally but in 8 Rey is already making herself a legend. There's a lot that goes unsaid and I think that made the movie play well. Luke never delivered the 'third lesson' right, the one that would supposedly make Rey realize the Jedi were bad or whatever? Also the astral projection stuff was super obvious once Luke decided to walk out. Thought I don't understand why he didn't tell them to escape rather than so the movie could have plot growth for Poe to not just want to shoot things. and yeah, Chewbacca should've eaten the Porg. It would've been like in Moana when she's all like "MMmm, delicious pork!" in front of her pig friend

I just hope I don't regret cutting Matt Olson when all is said and done -- it was like he was waiting for word that I dropped him before saying to himself, "OK, you can start hitting now." my OF is decimated so I'll happily make you eat that crow.
  22. Fman99 wrote: I wish we had a non-Ottoneu option for the CPF'ers to all play each other, maybe in 2019 we do a free Yahoo or ESPN league and give it a go. Ceetar does play in my long standing money/keeper league that I've run since 2002 (I'm in 12th out of 13 this year). Can we make it mandatory? ;-)
  23. still early I think. i'm mostly mucking along managing injuries.
  24. btw, SMG, if you're paying attention you're over roster size.
  25. metsmarathon wrote: man, there's a lot of money still out there! that strikes me as unhealthy. are teams even trying to win...? I'm regretting not going higher on Ohtani.
