  2. You didn't notice the patch of mud that magically appeared on your right knee?
  3. Interesting. Folks are soaking Glavine's jersey with Schaefer in the other PotG thread, but no one feels motivated to write him in here.
  4. SI Metman wrote: Well the Philles could always do a WATP with the MFY that has been floating around the net for the last 24 hours. Abreu, Burell, Bell and Flash Gordon to the MFY for A-Rod and Melky Cabrera.... Wow. I'd love that trade. Burrell's chances of homering of the Mets would be reduced by 12.
  5. Abreu's 32 -- not as old as I thought he was since he seems to have been around forever -- but still age is a factor here and I think it could be the type of short-term, short-sited type of acquisition that made the early 2000's Mets famous.
  6. I should've traded earlier. I'm the biggest loser in this bunch.
  7. PNC Park Threatens to Leave Pittsburgh. "PNC Park has already established a good rapport and budding friendship with this year's Home Run Derby runner-up David Wrightthe bedrock of our team's stability"
  8. More love for Bradford would be nice. Take some of Glavine's points if you have to.
  9. First back-to-back series wins since June 15th - aka the end of the Magnificent Roadtrip.
  10. People who like to second guess the archivist are reminded that they have the power to keep threads active with new posts, bumps, or by pm'ing the archivist. This message will be repeated. And probably ignored again too.
  11. Bradford 1.5 Chavez 2 Delgado 1 Feliciano .5 Floyd 2 Glavine 1 Nady 1 Wagner 1
  12. I like winning.
  13. Yancy Street Gang wrote: I want a three-run lead. I'm talking to you, Carlos Delgado. You didn't talk loud enough to be heard in Ohio.
  14. Yay, insurance run!
  15. Free Baseball. Looking at his Gamecast photo, I'd say Majewski has the mullet of power.
  16. Elster88 wrote: Mets are away. They split the first two, with help of a rain delay. And they're tied 2-2 in the 7th against their ace. That's just fine. The ace who keeps loading the bases. It would be nice if the batters could find a way to score other than home runs too. You can live well and die miserable on a home run offense.
  17. Bradford coming in after Glavine allows the bases to become drunk on Reds.
  18. Yancy Street Gang wrote: Castro made the last out, so this will probably be Glavine's last inning. Sadly, no. WIllie has cahnfidence in Tom.
  19. Didn't Muhammed Ali say "It ain't bragging if it's true"?
  20. 'Twas a bases loaded bunt. Oddly Castro went for the tag even though there was a force play at the plate. Actually that's a third thing that worked in the Mets favor to getting out of the inning. Remember this before you drench Glavine with Schaefer tonight.
  21. Fan interference and Aurillia brainfarting on the basepath help get the Mets out of this inning unscathed. This could have been a MUCH uglier inning.
  22. I see pink elephants. And a Carlos Delgado HR!
  23. Or goes 4-4 in a minor league stint against Jose Lima.
