  1. Santana 3.75 Bay 0.25 Barajas 0.50
  2. Reese is in the lineup. Video tomorrow.
  3. It was suggested by Darling that Ollie could benefit by reinventing himself in the minors with young pitching coach Ricky Bones
  4. My issues with Manuel are his allowing so much bunting. As in of late letting your #3 hitter bunt, especially with men on? I have tired of Jerry's mix n match bullpen. I also am weary of his postgame press confidence. What appears to be honest I know take as flippant. Firing? If it happens I'll go with after the next underwhelming road trip.
  5. I find it difficult to assess Reyes now. I am seeing a "rusty" Jose Reyes for now and it skews my thinking. Beyond that, the Mets are not responsible for the injuries along the way. I had posted 20% chance of Jose being a PED user. I don't think he was brought up too early.
  6. Ya gotta keep Takahashi in the Pen. Ron Darling's take was to keep Mr. T in the pen. Give Dillon Gee a full year in the minors and go with Pat Misch and consider Dickey. The thought on Dickey is that as a knuckleballer he could be an innings eater.
  7. Ron said the ollie could not work out his problems on the ML level and needed to be stashed at PSL, Buffalo, or B-Mets He thought the although Ollie is young his lost of velocity could be attributed to the number of innings on his arm. Ron also said it was time to admit the contract was a mistake and implied it was time to say to Ollie good luck in your future endeavors. Very somber and sad.
  8. Darling basically cut Met ties with Ollie on the post game since Omar won't do it. Ollie can live in a van down by the river or whats left of my kitchen.
  9. No we can't, but speculating has a certain charm to it.
  10. Carter starter walkoff departer
  11. Thanks to all picking up here..The Ashie house had a kitchen fire last night and we just got to a hotel a few hours ago. I will get something up in the a.m. Thanks to all.

You've got a great point. I flagged during the hockey strike. The loss is mine.

  14. oh well..mediocre Mets, mediocre results
  15. Another early day for the bullpen..Pelf fails
  16. Hockey & Soccer perfectly boring together
  17. You just knew he was going to catch it

Valadius wrote: So my boss put out a press release about a letter our office wrote to the MLBPA urging a boycott of the 2011 All-Star Game over Arizona's new racial profiling law, and no one in our office expected the kind of publicity it ended up getting today. It is not a racial profiling law. It is a law to enforce existing laws which have been ignored. It has nothing to do with professional sports
