Not surprised after the Schwarber contract David Stearns is in the process of making himself very unpopular to Mets fans Jagoff loses Diaz and Pete within two days Having said all this Stearns is probably comfortable with both of these outcomes
-
March 26 is opening day? Why not February 28?
-
5/150 for Schwarber Pete should be ecstatic And ready to clean out his Mets locker
-
It was not of any real priority of Diaz to remain a Met Sounds like Diaz got frustrated or something and may have acted in haste He's going to injure himself in a WBC celebration anyway so bullet dodged, or not
-
Of course Would they prefer the Pirates at this pay grade?
-
Absolutely KC, I question the entire structure. I never did before
-
The economics of NIL in the College arena has put me over the edge of late You are going to have roughly a dozen schools signing who they want and a similarish number of MLB teams doing the same The Pirates claimed post hype Giants prospect Marco Luciano SS off waivers over the weekend He may very well stand to start for the Pirates somewhere on opening day. A sad postseason start for the Buccos with this first salvo The Pirates will not be able to sign or develop the talent that would go the longest way in making Skenes and the Pirates competitive in September-October It's all about the money Contracts with Fanduel, Draftkings etc a hammer to further nail in selling the game to big. There are others These issues bother me on a social level as well. Doubt many baseball fans feel the way I do Yadda yadda Bump Revised

Good!
-
SALARY CAP anyone? It's a different conversation but these handful of MLB teams signing the overwhelming majority of elite talent is terribly unfair to small markets and fans
-
Guess we should have talked about Devin Williams
ashie62 replied to Marshmallowmilkshake's topic in New York Mets Talk
I would consider Devin Williams elite-ish Jocularity! -
I'm hoping Vientos is not our full-time 1B
-
Baseball lifer. Glad to know he is still alive
-
This was actually my first thought Benge is in gilded prospect conversations including Bryce Eldridge Walker Jenkins Max Clark etc Carson and Jett struggled at 3A but this doesn't dissuade me about how I feel about both of them today. Big ceiling ready to contribute now guys Semien could be traded by opening day, maybe??
-
Pastor Nimmo will love it in Texas, no taxes Was likely not a hard sell I'll miss him. He was a good Met
-
This is what happens when a team underperforms by so much Jett Williams must be happy
-
The Mets need an old fashioned ace whether by free agency or trade I'd prefer that they spend cash rather than prospects
-
I gave him a 5 in that no dollar was spared I'm overlooking waiting for Stearns. But I'm not sold on Stearns anyway so it's a convoluted wash
-
I'm no longer watching American tv untill this hocus pocus is over and my benefits are restored
-
So the Dodgers accumulate Japanese players and win. Meh Football was great this weekend, college and an exciting Jets win I don't see the Blue Jays winning another game
-
Yes here also
-

Frayed Knot wrote: I just rewound the 'tape' so as to check the time on that half-inning break: 8 FUCKING MINUTES!!! That's twice as long as George Steinbrenner's 7th inning stretch dog and pony show during which no one is permitted to leave their seats. I'm upset by the whoring of the message also
-
Brought to you by paid advertising by Keytruda I'm actually angry
-
Bye the way, flock the Dodgers and their Japan farm team
