  1. That seems like a lot of money for Bregman He's 32 and declining now imho Tucker just got more expensive
  2. What I read today Dan Duquette says the Mets are in on Tucker The Athletic says Stearns is more likely to improve the pitching through trades rather than signings Sooo, they could end up with Kyle Tucker and Tarik Skubal. No Framber Valdez
  3. False, he's going to have a big year as a Met I will gladly take Robert ahead of Kyle Tucker "if" Tucker has an opt out after year one
  4. I see that the general parameters of a potential Framber Valdez deal range from about 5 years for 160 million No freaking way Stearns does anything even near that. Framber being 32 doesn't help Does anyone here think he might?
  5. I am happy that the Mets are keeping their roster gluten free
  6. John Heyman said in the Post that the Mets have "checked in" on Kyle Tucker. I see that as big news on a quiet Saturday night
  7. Very very quiet
  8. I'm not sold on Jorge Polanco at first. He has virtually no experience there Beyond that he gets hurt a lot Bah humbug
  9. You would get released one day sooner than me...maybe
  10. Conversations about talks with the Padres have ground to a halt The Padres sign Michael King, the Mets make a few moves and it's almost as if there was never anything to any of this if there ever was in a life during wartime
  11. In what world does Framber Valdez get 200 million to possibly shuttle between the mound and the IL? This one I guess Wouldn't it make better sense to see MacLean Sproat and Tong as "newly acquired" for 2026 and save some powder? I understand these young guys are risky also
  12. I'd imagine the Mets were paying for family influence on some level
  13. It was brought up here
  14. Interesting. They do seem to take on a life of their own at times
  15. Ofreidy has been getting cups of coffee in the Mexican league 30 years old and no longer invisible to the baseball Gods I thought I saw he got a two year deal but that seems unlikely Good luck to him. It's a Christmas miracle!
  16. Jose Rojas looks suspiciously like Lindor
  17. I know, this is like the Christian Pache signing but it felt good
  18. I'm almost certain Stearns will service time Benge and the others into May
  19. It only takes 85-86 games to make the postseason That may be the goal Stearns is going to go crickets from here in?? As dick picker Mickey Callaway recently said "It'd better work"
  20. This is gold
  21. And I'm hoping for Bellinger or Tucker, I must be nuts In a couple of years Stearns could be as popular as Mussolini
  22. Nah Hays makes Luis Robert look like a Golden God
  23. I needed the laughs above This has been the Hunger Games holiday season here
  24. It's ALL about building the on ramp for the young talent I don't think Stearns is going to sign a "big" name at this point Unless you consider moves for Luis Robert, Bichette or something of that sort "big" I did not think the collapse of 2025 would lead to this much change
  25. I think the Mets threw the baby out with the bathwater
