  1. I believe Sandy Alderson said Tebow could make it to the MLB level

In 2020 $32 million comes off the books between Frazier, Lagares, Vargas, and Swarzak. I'm not even counting Wright in on this because I really don't know what the buyout situation is going to look like or if they are just going to take the insurance payout for two more years. I also think that Machado probably cost himself somewhere between 5-10% of his previous projected earnings due to his performance on and off the field during the month of October. This is financially possible. You are correct sir
  3. Lousy film. Rock Biopics, how about Stillwater in "Almost Famous"

I think it's funny that MLBTR (and pretty much every would-be market swami) is completely ignoring the Sawx of the Midway. And on queue... https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2018/11/offseason-outlook-chicago-white-sox-9.html Saw on interweb pale sox will be competive on Machado and Harper I think I heard a rumor the MFY's are looking to trade Stanton
  5. Starts year in NYC and wins the NL ROY

  8. Isn't Machado kind of a dog who has torn up one knee already. No thanks
  9. Let Alonso become a superstar and work from there
  10. Bob Geren
  11. For some reason BVG reminds me of Steve Phillips, sort of a sneaky sob. I was all in for Chaim Bloom to blow it up. He was tremendous at Tampa Bay. Maybe the risk in Chaim is the trend of empty seats might be sustainable
  12. But they are the Amazin Mets The Wilpons leaving might tilt that index
  13. Brodie is not as qualifield as Bloom imho I assume Brodie resigns as an agent? deGrom must be rolling his eyes
  14. Awesome!
  15. Omaha Royals
  16. Dodgers. Boston sux
  17. Bloom performed a miracle in Tampa Bay. How can you not offer him???
  18. Mickey Mouse Calloway is safe. Short leash, but safe
  19. Your work? very very good. The roster? very very bad
  20. No Korean female? shucks
  21. Jeff McNeil reminds me of Danny Murphy

He was here, or is still here, at least in part because of his "Mets Legacy" - if we're saying that legacy doesn't matter or can't be acknowledged because of the abuse charge, why is even still here? for the same reason Trump is president? Rich* white assholes don't take it seriously. (*being super in debt to Russia doesn't really count as rich, but he still walks those circles) And it's not like he as a lifelong Met, had an incident, and quietly came back to one last cameo for all the 'good times'. He's been garbage on the field for two years, but even if he hadn't he's only a Met right now because he put his wife in the hospital. His very presence on the team is because of that. He's also not necessarily retiring. It's fine if you want to have him as a token of his longtime connection with Wright, but let's be clear this is about David, not about both of them. I'm not sure what you're talking about here. Are you saying he's only a member because Colorado released him because of the assault charge? I'd say that's why he was available. He's on the team because at that time we needed someone who could play a little third base and have even a little bit of speed. I have no idea what the president, wealth or skin color have to do with any of it. None at all. I remember fans screaming that he be resigned a few years back
  23. Lets win for sentimentality sake LGM!
  24. Batting for the pitcher. #5, The Mets captain, David Wright
