CONINE THE BARBARIAN!!!!! One of my all-time favorite clips
-
Calling Mike Piazza... we could use some of that magic right now...
-
Sele... *sigh*
-
Ok, now I'm really concerned about Dookay.
-
We don't have a run yet, Z.
-
Well Conine hasn't gotten a start since the 7th. I'd give him a start every once in a while with Delgado out.
-
Hernandez only needed 10 pitches in the first. Good sign.
-
Play ball!
-
Our rotation, as it's composed right now (Martinez, Glavine, Hernandez, Maine, Perez) is the best it has been in a pretty long time. We have plenty of time for Pelfrey, Humber, and Mulvey to develop and slot in for the first three.
-
Watch it be Kevin Mulvey.

What's with the zero after Wright's name?

Texas is currently crushing Detroit, 10-0, in the top of the 7th. The Rangers have hit 5 homers, including two from Marlon Byrd. ... make that six as Hank Blalock launched a solo shot to make it 11-0, Texas.

Hail!

CF - kind of. My internet speed is pretty much pre-historic, and I'm trying to get Comcast to come back and fix it. "High-Speed Internet" it is not.
-
I would absolutely love to see him back next season in a Mets uniform. He's still a good major league pitcher and, as Chuck said, a class act.
-
Starting off today is the first game of a double-header between Detroit and Texas. Detroit is now only 3.5 games back of the MFYs for the ALWC, but they're facing, surprisingly, one of the hottest teams in baseball in the Rangers, who've won 5 straight and 12 of 14.

The title for the fourth Indiana Jones movie has just been announced: "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull". It opens in theaters on May 22, 2008.

Detroit scored 4 runs in the bottom of the ninth to come back and beat Toronto, 5-4.
-
Mets win!!!
-
Pat Fucking Burrell hit a three-run homer off of Jorge Julio to tie it, 5-5 after 7 between Philly and Colorado.
-
In comes Heilman for the eighth.
-
Alou now has a 15-game hitting streak. Wright's home run was his 28th of the year, setting a new career high. His two RBIs gives him 353 for his career, tying Lee Mazzilli for 14th all-time on the Mets RBI list.
