  1. =Methead post_id=19496 time=1566433344 user_id=61] Panik makes #2 look good.
  2. OP still makes the lefties look foolish out there.
  3. Girl who removes her bra while drinking a Coors is probably a college whore.
  4. Fboy and I enjoyed the hell out of this one on TV last night. Fun to watch them 1) get the big out and then 2) get the big hit after an error left the door open. It's what good teams do.
  5. Frayed Knot wrote: =bmfc1 post_id=19373 time=1566328975 user_id=73]Nimmo is in Syracuse (not for vacation or to visit the Fman99's, he's playing). But he's still going to find time to visit with FMan while he's there, right?
  6. For what it's worth, when Seawolf and I got together for a Mets game in Pittsburgh, despite the fact that we are both Geneseo alums and Mets fans, we never once discussed setting up a drug smuggling ring.
  7. Oh good. We're planning on attending on Friday, I think, we'll see if he's still playing up here after a few more days. Kind of hoping so.
  8. Yep fuck these guys and the mercy rule. Play the damn game.
  9. Sucky. Caught an inning or two early but wasn't getting the good hope that the bats were going to wake up. We did watch the Ruben-less AAA Mets win 5-4, though, so there's that.

Lots of exciting action as the same two teams lock up tomorrow. Drew Gagnon is scheduled to go for the Mets, but he's in Flushing now (on edit, he just pitched a sweet inning in Atlanta). Maybe Flexie returns to the rotation. We'll be there tonight, the forecast looks great. Going on Saturday, too, with Fmom and her beau up from FL for the weekend. We'd have gone to more games in 2019 if not for the fact that we have so many weeknight rec league/extra curricular activities in the summer (I play kickball on Mondays, Thursdays is beach volleyball for Fwife and I, and both Fkids play in Friday night volleyball leagues).
  11. I think we're better because FUCK THOSE GUYS.
  12. OK, I'll take the leap. A 7:20 start (which is kind of fucky?) Max Fried vs. Zach Wheeler. LFGM
  13. As someone who watches on TV and only attends 1-2 games per year, and naps on weekends after lunch, I like the Sunday night prime time games. Except for the broadcast crew, they are wretched. I will watch on ESPN Deportes most likely.
  14. Who can hold a candle to your analysis though? Like Pavarotti saying, "OK, sporto, come on, your turn to sing 'Happy Birthday'". I am still surprised that with Espinosa, Tejada and Herrera all having various degrees of success here in the 'Cuse, that none of them got the whiff that Joe Panik and his .235 MLB BA did.
  15. Would have been interesting to see the top of the lineup come up in the bottom of the 9th down just a single run. That Diaz HR took any juice they had left right out of the ballpark.
  16. Yeah, man, fantastic game. Brought the whole family down to the man cave to play family board/card games and watch the resurgent New York Fucking Mets win another game. Life is good, my friends, revel in it, soak it up.
  17. Oh good, let's have Thor pitch to Ramos. Because that's worked out so well this year. Mickey is a big dumb shit.
  18. Wasn't in the Pool for this but watched nearly all of it, minus a 30-40 minute interruption to go watch Fboy's beach volleyball game (during which I had the audio on via my phone/XM). What a great damn game. Thoughts, though - mostly about Mickey still being terrible. 1. The Alonso challenge, which he really had no chance of winning. He seems to use these specifically on bad challenges as "Hail Mary" attempts to get a break 2. Leaving Stroman in to start the 7th when he clearly labored through innings 5-6. 3. Sending Lagares up to bunt when everyone worth their salt knows he can't bunt, and you've got a bench full of pitchers who practice bunting. Funny, too, that Howie knew to call this out, because GKR didn't even really touch on the point that it was a poor managerial decision. Winning despite all that, plus Ramos/Avilan's mental biff allowing the 6th run to score, is pretty amazin'
  19. Amazing turn of events. Turns out that a 13-1 run in July/August will boost your postseason hopes. Who knew?
  20. We had an awesome day at the ballpark. Especially considerate of the SHaMs to get it in before the skies opened up.
  21. Don't underestimate MLB correcting the super juiced pre-ASG break ball with one that allows for a better slider to be thrown. Not by Diaz, of course, who's a head case, but Thor at least.
  22. These SHaMs are awesome. Me and the Fkids will be at the matinee tomorrow. Pretty excited to see them again.
  23. Fucking beyond bored with Guillorme. Both Herrera and Espinosa have played 2B and hit a ton up here in the 'Cuse and I have to watch Luis and his .175 BA at the plate.
