  1. Their approach, collectively, is terrible. They're all swinging from their heels on every at bat, trying to hit a nine run HR. This is true of most MLB hitters and teams, too, but when you're not connecting, and you don't play in a tiny joke of a stadium like some certain other local teams, then the failures are magnified.
  2. I gave up on this one after Familia barfed on the mound. That was it for me.
  3. Listening on XM but no Howie today. So Wayne + friend, not quite as great. Plus, you know, all the LOBs.
  4. BOOOOKS Seemed like a game they were destined to lose, after leaving so many ducks on the pond in those late innings. And yet here we are with a chance to split on the Gay Dame.
  5. Not a lot of fans in the seats. You can really hear the players letting the expletives fly on these ground outs. I like it.
  6. Conforto with the knock. Please please please score some more damn runs kthnx
  7. Whoa, that's some stupid looking hair there.

  9. The other thing that irks me is knowing that with 9 outs left to give, and down one, they'll literally all swing for the tying HR, nine straight turns up. And if none of them hit it then they'll all shrug and go "Oh well, maybe tomorrow we get em" Oh I wanted to be wrong on this point. But I was not.
  10. Swinging 3-0 like Rudy fucking Stein.

  12. Walker settled in eventually. There seems to be problems with focus going on here. In my expert opinion.

Red Schoendienst can eat a bag of hot wet farts.
  14. The appropriately named St. Louis Cardinal Red Schoendienst? (I looked, they never had any player named Pope on that team).
  15. Amazingly, no one named Ray, or Raymond, has ever played for the Tampa Bay Rays. Toronto has had two Jays - though technically they are both Jaysons (Jayson Nix, Jayson Werth), and that only stupid people spell the name Jayson with a Y.
  16. Don't underestimate the lack of energy on the field since Lindor came up lame. He was pushing his teammates along the entire time he was out there.
  17. Megill comes up grabbing his own behind on that bunt. I am hoping it's because it's fun to rub your own ass.
  18. Yah I am of the half full variety here also.
  19. Very nice. Too bad the Metsies could not cooperate with a W that day.
  20. Tylor Megill (1-0, 2.04 ERA) versus the ever prescient TBD toeing the rubber for Miami. Anyone besides me still think of them as the "Florida Marlins" when the team name is not presented in full?
  21. I'd like to assign Piles O'Fundage to my own local roster.
  22. =batmagadanleadoff post_id=73159 time=1627878461 user_id=68] Same old Mets, HR-wise. That's a pretty paltry list for a stadium now in its 13th season. Well, it's not just the Mets -- it's that ridiculous cavern that was the original stadium because Fredo thought he'd bullt some uniquely brilliant stadium that would distinguish him for his, I dunno, creativeness?
  23. What a big shitty mess.
