  3. Edgy MD wrote: Not that it should matter, but neither should it go unacknowledged: deGrom burned by his bullpen (and his manager's bullpen deployment) again. I'd like to burn this bullpen

  5. Thank you thank you thank you! Exactly what I needed!
  6. Squirrel? Etc
  7. Could you guys give a list of your nicknames for the players so when I read IGTs and stuff I know who the hell you are talking about? Please?
  8. Or to hard rock cafe
  9. I liked cetera as a Chicagoan (?) for this song and a few others (I've been searching so long, for example) but I agree his solo acts and later Chicago pap was awful
  10. I'll get blamed for my bullpen boys' rampant lack of talent
  11. In 1973 we had starters that also ended, and tug McGraw if they couldn't. Big difference
  12. Ha! Reposted that after watching the excellent video!

So this one totally brings to mind a certain 10th grader when I was in grade 12, still
  16. Hold off til the bullpen gets their crack at it

The Atlanta Rhythm Section was what their name indicated they were, a studio band based in Atlanta that among other things backed Roy Orbison. They were Southern but not Southern Rock per se, nice mellow rockin groove with their best stuff. They are one of those workaday groups that put out 1 album a year for 10 straight years, 1972-1981. Consider this a prelude to their forthcoming Desert Island Mix Tape. deGrom is pitching, I think
  18. Heck I'd settle for some sunshine

  20. Edgy MD wrote: Can anybody recall a precendent for the Jed Lowrie situation: a guy brought on a big league contract, but not debuting for months after that (assuming there will be a debut)? The closest Met precedent I can come up with is Scott Erickson. He wasn't brought in on a big league deal, but he made the opening day roster. He was scheduled to start Game Two, and can even be said to have debuted (to an extent) in that he was in the lineup card handed to the ump. But his actual launch date was July 19 — 92 days into the 2004 Mets season. Do you think Lowrie can beat that? Why didn't he launch? (Erickson)
  21. Geez. And how many of them are who we would want to be the last eight Mets?
