  1. I have been, ever since Olerud.
  2. 13th inning, still tied, Dan Wheeler in.
  3. Looks to me like it illustrates "no turning point."
  4. I've changed my mind. I'm rooting for the Braves. I don't care how evil they are...I can't root for the Colt 45s (sorry, Annie), and I have respect for the Braves.
  5. And David Neid.
  6. Next year it will be Beltran.
  7. Mutt...I'm no good at numbers, so I have to make my life useful somehow.
  8. And lengthened again, in the 50s, during the McCarthy era, to "Redlegs." They were also the first team to wear uniforms without sleeves, because Ted Kluszewski couldn't fit his biceps into them.
  9. I took 2, as the closest to Valadius' choice. But you know, I could handle him becoming a Yankee easier than a Brave.

  17. Less than Mike Hampton?
  18. You're our cookie, Mom.
  19. But that's the source of the rural roots of "supper." It may be also something of a class thing -- "supper" a working class meal around a kitchen table, "dinner" served more formally in a dining room.

Love the dragon, fear the woman.
  21. How about the procedure to clear out Looper's locker?
  22. Edgy - big mistake.
  23. It is a rural thing. On a farm, the big meal -- dinner -- is the midday meal, and they have a smaller one -- supper -- in the evening. But that doesn't bring the Mets back. Until pitchers and catchers.
  24. I'm not convinced Matsui is a disaster, tho I probably should be. I think Olerud backing up Jacobs makes sense.
