MetFairy has it. Substitute he and him, and it's easy. And pitchers should pitch. Rather than limit innings, or count pitches, both of which are ridiculous if you're not a little leaguer, teach pitchers to pitch with some respect for the human arm, and teach them to be smart (can you do that?)

What really troubles me about the whole tenor of the debate around the Mets today is how much of it is rooted in complete misunderstanding -- about the hitting philosophy, about realistic expectations of building a farm, about how many wins is 90, about everything. Wait! I can help with the "how many wins is 90?"

So I guess I'll have to nominate me. I'd abolish the DH, bring back flannel uniforms, pass a dress code that disallowed pulling the elastic in your pants down to your shoes, mandate one Sunday doubleheader a month, and pass a rule that gives one and half wins to every team whose pitcher pitches a complete game.

I'm not saying a team can't impose all sorts of behavior and deportment rules, dress codes, etc., imp just saying that they shouldn't. Why go out of your way to make a team boring? According to Mookie, the current Mets are trying to sweep the 86 Mets and their bad boy image under the rug. And remember what Casey Stengel said about milkshake drinkers.
