  1. Big assist from Carl's Jr.
  2. I wonder when the last no-hitter with only two strikeouts occurred.
  3. Back in the nation's capital, the Mets try to make it three in a row with Tylor Megill on the bump. The Nats counter with Aaron Sanchez, a righthander coming off of a brutal Coors Field beatdown. Look for lefties to return to the lineup, including Smith and possibly Jankowski. Francisco Lindor and Pete Alonso have played in every game this season so far. I mean, yeah, that includes DH'ing, so it's totally cheating, but it's something to consider as you play Guess Tomorrow's Lineup!
  4. Yeah, but we got Phil Humber with the next pick, BITCHES!
  5. Last week, I was trying to come up with pseudonym for my not-yet-happening career as pop philosopher/spiritual teacher. I wanted a name that spoke with such a knowing esoteric authority that a publisher would greenlight my manuscript without getting past the cover page. I settled on Hastings Beauchamp. But, I'm pretty sure that before I made my choice, the last alternative I considered was Locke St. John. What I'm saying is that I'm pretty sure I Stranger Than Fiction'd this guy into existence. 7. Wow. Not often you see a sac fly advance three runners.
  8. I'd also be tempted to pinch-run Jankowski at third.
  9. Bases bloated and no out. I'd be tempted to use one of the three lefties on the bench, but I like how Davis is swinging.
  10. If the Mets get this game, the Nats defense might have to be credited with the loss.
  11. Maikel Franco could make some scattershot throws with Philly, too, right?
  12. Canha-Lindor-Alonso.
  13. Frayed Knot wrote: Not sure I like Joely in place of Dr. Smith here Oh, yeah, Dr. Smith is always reliable in a tight spot! https://thumbs.gfycat.com/ReliableKaleidoscopicAmericancrow-max-1mb.gif>
  14. Way to go down on one pitch, Sotito.
  15. Joely gets to pitch to Soto. Biggest Met moment so far for Joely Bean.
  16. Cesar Hernandez hoped he'd draw a pitcher he could hit. Instead, he drew Smith.
  17. Frayed Knot wrote: New WAS pitcher Ramirez is apparently a one time Met but he's been totally erasmo-ed from my memory. Longtime AAAA guy with 33 MLB wins. http://phpbb3.leaptoad.com/mets/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=30040Gave the Mets some of his best innings.
  18. Cishek seems nervous and shaky. https://i.gifer.com/CxpG.gif>
  19. Canha safe? Canha REAL safe!
  20. McCannister in line to add to his GWRBI total.
  21. Shouldn't they have thrown to third and gone for McNeil for the third out?
  22. Infield in was a questionable move against McCannicle.
  23. Hail to the Jeff! He's the Jeff and he needs hailing!
  24. Let's turn this game around, Freeman.
  25. Good time for Sexscobar to find himself.
