Two other options (but nobody asked me): Both teams are off tomorrow. Why not have them fly in on Thursday and start the series early? Both teams finish off their season against also-rans. Why not have the teams stick around on Monday, push back the less consequential series and finish the series late? If it's necessary or desireable that those subsequent, season-closing series include all three games, they can play a Wednesday doubleheader or add a Thursday game with no team having to turn around and fly in for a one-off.
