  1. Tune in and watch Joey Lucchesi and YOUR Syracuse Mets lay a righteous pounding on the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders.
  2. Senga over Pham in Game Three was a tight one.

  4. Nine RBI. I don't know why I wrote four, except my dog was going nuts at the time. Yes, Eddie Murray is one of the other record holders, and Jim Gentile another. Gentile was a terrific player but is largely forgotten (as many pre-Weaver O's are). He was one of those guys that did almost nothing after age 30. But all three were/are Oriole firstbasemen — a lefty, a righty, and a switchy. Gentile, at 88, lived to see his record equaled twice, but still not broken.
  5. Here in Baltimore, Ryan Mountcastle, on a night when he wasn't mounting castles, had himself a [CROSSOUT]four[/CROSSOUT]nine-RBI game last night, tying the franchise record, held by two others. You may guess one. The second guy will probably be tougher.
  6. i'm surprised by your lack of faith in Koufax.
  7. Sponsors and beneficiaries, sure. All are professional relationships.

Any decent scout should have the phrase "big, strong, righthanded reliever out of Texas that strikes out a whole bunch of guys but his control can get away from him" programmed as a keyboard shortcut.
  9. A strange thing is that the Mets seem to now be in bed with multiple healthcare organizations — NY Presbyterian, Northwell Health (parent of Long Island Jewish and the Katz Women's Center), Catholic Health (at some level, I think), and The Hospital for Special Surgery (affiliated with NY-Pres, I think, but not under their umbrella).
  10. But that nibble ends the game and puts in the bookcicles.
  11. Man, our bullpen has been nibbly.
  12. When you drop the bat breaking your swing, you're gonna get called for swinging.
  13. Who do you like for the ninth?
  14. Thanks for chasing, Rougned.
  15. Here's to single-run innings.
  16. Seth Elledge in 2021: Six earned runs in 11 2/3 innings for a 4.63 ERA. Seth Elledge in 2022: Six earned runs in 11 2/3 innings for a 4.63 ERA. Consistency, Baby!
  17. Robertson to close the seventh? If this game isn't getting interesting now, it's sure going to.
  18. You go to the bullpen early, things get sweaty an inning or two later.
  19. "Live Odds" is such a useful service!
  20. Nope, a 5-5-2 double play instead.
  21. Pulling Megill after five innies and 81 splotches seems very ... pully.
  22. He just moved that marker.
  23. "HANDMADE BY ROBOTS MR MET APRIL 29"
  24. Well, they get one run back by a combination of hitting with RiSP and outfield miscommunication in the third.
