  1. If Strzlecky hurts his ankle, bunt on Strzlecky.
  2. Lindor, Alonso, do it again.
  3. Man, that 3-2 pitch was grooved.
  4. That knee thing with McNeil is a real thing with a lot of super-draining fields, and it's going to seriously injure somebody someday.
  5. Worst fair/foul call ever?
  6. Corbin Burnes is so freakin' hot.
  7. Hey, I'm just going to keep saying nice things about Burnes until the Mets knock him out.
  8. Lucky jam double by Marte, but Corbin Burnes is pitching really nicely, and I hate LA Law. But HEY! Lindor shuts my mouth!
  9. Mets being very helpful with first career homers this season.
  10. "All these rules and do's and don'ts. Jesus, baseball's getting behind The Iron Curtain." — Keith Hernandez
  11. Ashie likes to move on quickly. It seems cardio is going to be a crucial training element going forward, for pitchers and hitters as well.
  12. On the other hand, it's not like the rest o' the team was steppin' up.
  13. Why the deuce is Guillorme swinging 2-0 after six straight balls and a hbp? I don't care if it's 20-0.
  14. Nope, there's your ppp, and his name is Luis Guillorme. Good move by the Mets, moving three other players at irregular positions. Might as well get them some comfort, and now McNeil gets a Strat-o-Matic rating at short.
  15. Name your position player pitcher. It's gonna be Nido, right?
  16. Good job by Gary remembering that The Fonz drove a Harley. Looking it up, it was a 1947 Harley-Davidson Knucklehead. https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-szmHUxE1wiM/V8-M3tDhNnI/AAAAAAAATkk/Ysr5KgnAegk8EI6HskSTwHN886RcbpiWwCLcB/s640/Fonz02.jpg> On the other hand, I don't think it's really accurate to make a distinction between "the Dave Mason Traffic" and "the Steve Winwood Traffic."
  17. Well, that's one way to get all those guys off the bases.
  18. McNeil made a nice hustle play there, but I think that's Lindor's ball for the 6-3 double play.
  19. Bases loaded, no outs, down 4-0. That's a thankless situation.
  20. I'ma calling BS on that called strike three on Canha.
  21. Yeah, the question is too frequently phrased in terms of "What do you think of 'the new rules'?" Each rule clearly deserves to be considered individually. But that's the way The Man operates.
  22. Yeah, I guess I meant to write "pitchers" there. Kaz came over in a class with Shingo Takatsu, Kazuhito Tadano, and Akinori Otsuka, and was indeed probably tops-on-arrival from that group.
  23. I was surprised to find that the Mets have had more Japanese-born players (or was it just pitchers?) than any other organization. I feel like this is the first time they went out and got the top Japanese player coming over. They've gotten Hideo Nomo and Daisuke Matsuzaka at the back end of their careers, but this may be the first time they've landed a star pitcher when it was the time to land him.
