  3. Piazza's previous team, of course, was not LAD but SDP.
  4. Gloater.
  5. They're not. Knot is just posting them as tables to confirm that we all have the same list.We generally do, we didn't for 1963.

  7. I never got an answer on my Jose Cardenal inquiry, and now my table is kerfuffled.
  8. OK, we have a minor crisis here. Which is the authentic table?OE: On first glance, mine looks like it was culled from JG's 40-man list above.
  9. OK, we have some significant disparities in this one. The top ten match up but we have big differences in the middle, particularly with Jay Hook. It might have been me screwing around, but I should have at least noted changes I imposed onto the spreadsheet in the thread.1963 RankingsPOINTSPLAYERSPREADSHEET SEZ:30Ron HuntRon Hunt29Carl WilleyCarl Willey28Roger CraigRoger Craig27Jim HickmanJim Hickman26Al JacksonAl Jackson25Duke SniderDuke Snider24Frank ThomasFrank Thomas23Larry BearnarthLarry Bearnarth22Tim HarknessTim Harkness21Galen CiscoGalen Cisco20Tracy StallardTracy Stallard19Charlie NealCharlie Neal18Jay HookAl Moran (+1)17Al MoranGrover Powell (+5)16Rod KanehlJoe Hicks (+1)15Jim (actually Joe) HicksJesse Gonder (+4)14Ed KranepoolDuke Carmel (+6)13Choo Choo ColemanEd Kranepool =orange](-1)12Grover PowellRod Kanehl =orange](-4)11Jesse GonderDon Rowe (+5)10Joe ChristopherJoe Christopher9Ken McKenzieKen McKenzie8Duke CarmelJay Hook =orange](-10)7Pumpsie GreenChoo Choo Coleman =orange](-6)6Don RowePumpsie Green =orange](-1)5Jimmy PiersallJimmy Piersall4Chico FernandezChico Fernandez3Hawk TaylorSammy Taylor(Hawk didn't appear until '64)2Cliff CookCliff Cook1Norm SherryNorm Sherry
  10. That's what the spreadsheet has, to the last man.
  11. Those guys who got Casey should be ineligible to also get Piazza, no? That's a fun sheet. Juan Pierre confounded all seven of you. And his salary confounds everybody else.
  12. Yet, your vote brings us down to 7.69 staplers. I'm going to burn your house down.
  13. Even with the three-stapler gap between the likes and the like-nots, we're sitting at 7.87 staplers on a ten-stapler scale.

  16. Will do.
  17. You've become a tablemaking fool.
  18. This is allegedly non-scripted, in order to make real Americans look real stupid. Forget about real Kazahkstanis. I think I had my fill of Sasha Baron Cohen in Talladega Nights.
  19. Not a long list of competitors. Nor is it a big departure for Baldwin. Best of Baldwin's monotone thugs? Why not? Shelly was a complex malefactor. Why does Dickshot's post read like it's from Norrin. I agreed with him, by the way. I'm shaking the screen going, "Go to the casino next door and break the bank there, you mook." Anyone believe Joey Fatone's headlining act could turn around the attraction of the casino's theater?
  20. William H. Macy is Charlie, the unluckiest gambler ever, so a mob-run casino has him hired out to go from table to table jinxing people. Alec Baldwin portays the casino manager, trying to keep his place old-school in the face of the Disneyfication of Vegas. Maria Bello is Natalie, the X-factor that may change Charlie's luck.
  21. No, nobody anticipated it. Certainly not me. But it at leasst reflects somewhat well on the Mets, in retrospect, to bring in enough interesting and considered options --- young and old --- that one of them panned out when Matsui didn't. Or maybe it was pure luck, but it reflects really well on Willie that when Valentin asked for his release early in the year, Minaya refused on Willie's advice, and Willie instead told him to get himself ready.
