I don't think it's wrong. I don't think it's right. I think he's tiresomely snarky and not particularly insightful. He looks closely at minor league systems and probably has a good idea which guys have a better chance of flourishing than others. Beyond that, eyewash.

"You may not replace his exuberance with one person," Dickey said. "There have been a couple of people that are high-energy guys. Daniel Murphy is in there full time now. He definitely helps pick up the slack. I'm not disappointed with the guys that we have presently from an energy standpoint. Dickey: "Youre still trying to replace Reyes." Bay: "We have to replace him." Dickey: "No we dont. What we can try to do, though, is recreate him in the aggregate."

Terry tossed from a spring training game for arguing batter's interference. Hey, Terry, that's Ozzie's act.

"There's not one guy in this clubhouse that's whining that he's gone." That's Jason Bay talking. And he's clearly --- clearly --- speaking to the team's confidence that they can go on and not implying any disrespect or contempt, it's enough to get his head stuck in a noose by the John Harper contingent.

Two hitless innings for Dickens. Two innings, one hit, and three strikeouts for Anacostia. Parnell comes on. Let's see what he's got.

Chin-ming Wang just took a bad spill at first. John Lannan physically pulled off trade market.

Bay 2-2 against the Joshiest Josh Johnson in the league. And then the rains came down, because the author of fate could not let the abomination of Jos vs. the Mets continue.

Mets found it cheaper to program a virtual Teufel to coach third. I'm sure the coaches were photographed, but I don't know where to get my hands on 'em.

I want nine homegrown players. Homebred, if possible, descended from a long line of former Mets.

That's some pretty good numbers for a guy sliding from starter to platooner to backup to releasee.

A visit from Bill Parcells psychologically forces Bob Geren and Terry Collins to assume their tough guy poses.

Just my feelings, but you don't have to quote the entirety of a post, I think, when it immediately precedes your'n.

Every year, always drop the first cuts news in your own thread, scooping the blazes out of the roster thread. It's dispiriting, I tell you. Well played, sir.

He's a candidate, I think, because even as those guys find their respective ways, Satin is pretty redundant with him as the for-the-time-being-guy who can fill in adequately at second, third and short. But having a year of staying above water behind him, Turner probably has more trade market value than Satin.

Something's wrong with the internet. I keep hitting refresh and it keeps showing Jos Reyes on the wrong team. Whatever. If we weren't pinched at shortstop right now, I'd see Turner as on the block.

I'm all for an immovable Wright. An an irresistible Duda, while I'm at it.

Coating things in poison is just as much a copout as coating them in sugar.

I think his seriousness could evolve.

I know it's mostly a trick of perspective, but in that shot of Willie and Casey, it looks like the distance from the plate to seats behind behind is equivalent to the distance from the plate to the pole.

Prove you didn't kiss my sister.

Standard for clawback suits in bankruptcy court according to the article. The judge brought the case into US District Court, but held the bankruptcy standard. Yeah, I suppose that could be a basis for an appeal.
