  1. EY starting over Niuwie against the right-hander. And Juan punched one notch down from the lagoff spot.
  2. I think the DA has agreed to refrain from indicting fans under the McGraw Act until then.
  3. That's the HOTTEST-TEAM-IN-THE-LEAGUE Mets, Lefty Skepticist.
  4. Dumb question, but the Katz Institute for Women's Health --- is that Katz as in Saul Katz?
  5. Dumb investment. Ron's Darlings has a 74% market share in that sector.
  6. I'd be happy to sell you a ground floor piece of my language software application, Gonzalez German, my new bed sheet brand, Josh Satin, or perhaps my booming animal breeding business, Jeremy Heifer.
  7. Head down to Trademark and Patents Bureau to license that name and you'll find out I'm WAAAY ahead of you.
  8. There isn't a new commissioner yet. As noted above, Manred enjoyed Wilpon's support in ascending to his new office. Beyond that, has anyone --- even Irving Picard --- asserted that Bud Selig was aware that the Wilpons were investing in a Ponzi scheme?
  9. Need good Bartolo tonight.
  10. How much is the suit demanding?
  11. My current thinking is that this isn't the type of action that ends in a courtroom, but the type that ends in a settlement and a non-disclosure agreement. And that maybe hopes for the Mets won't be relieved of their owners, but rather continue on with a wearier version of the same, and a more tarnished brand. This thinking could change by the end of the day or the hour.
  12. We don't have to debate it, that's true.
  13. That's what commemoration is about. Yearly things.
  14. So how did baseball's hottest team do last night, while enjoying their first evening without their marquee player and learning of their COO and executive VP's possible doom? Well, not as good as the day before. They won, and that's crucial, as they lose a quart of blood at this point with every loss, but every team in front of them in the race for the second wild card won also, with the exception of the Marlins. But the Marlins' role in this was to keep battering down the Brewers, until the Mets get them next week. On the bright side, they gain a game in the division, for what that's worth, and pull within a game of the Fishies, and double their post-season probability from one in a thousand to one in five hundred, so, you know, PAR-TAY! But most of that gain comes at the expense of the Marlins, and it's the Pirates we want to be stealing glory from. And in that spirit, ou know who's your best friend tonight who's not on the Mets? A.J.F. Burnett, trying to steal a series win for the Phils going up against the Bucs' red-hot Francisco Liriano. Also notable: Did you know we eliminated the Rockies from any mathematical hope last night? Well, we did! See what you get, Warriors? See what you get when you go up against the Orphans?! 15. You can call them on it again. Make phone calls, file petitions. Publicly shame 'em. It's all for the best.
  16. I wonder if any MLB team has ever thrown a combined shutout with all four pitchers being Dominican.
  17. I was thinking I'd open with Edgin to face Dickerson again. But he's not generally lefty-vulnerable.
  18. McKenry the catcher looks like one of those 42-year-old (bust still active) Qubcois goaltenders.
  19. Boom-chakalakalaka!
  20. We have received and reviewed the complaint. The claims are without merit. Our organization maintains strong policies against any and all forms of discrimination.
  21. Jeurys seems like he's grinding.
  22. There's no disabled list assignment. So let the drama play out and let teams fear that he may be lurking. I love baseball, man, and I think the pressure to tell everybody your lineup plans weeks in advance is silly. Embrace the mystery, even if he stays glued to the bench. Aside from that, I'll say no more.
  23. Do the Rockies scout outfielders hoping to find the weakest arms they can find?
  24. Two of the only three hits this evening.
