One out. Man, we could have plated two or three insurance runs early in the game. Dammit, Flo.

Sometimes, Muffy plays better after a base running blunder.

An enormous chunk of baseball dies with him.

His welfare is my concern. [youtube:2kxle9sh]Jl5vi9ir49g[/youtube:2kxle9sh]

Yeah, the Beatles lost last night. I'm going with the Hollies.

Yup, and he's been working on copping Dickey's beard and frown also.

An unblemished ERA after 11 innings. Thirteen strikeouts and just two walks. I'm trying to figure out how much I believe in him. Is he a Diamondback diamond in the rough, or is he Guillermo Mota, and just waiting for the post-season to blow up? Unlike other bullpen additions, like Clippy and O'Herlihy, Mets control him for two more years. A non-descript hairstyle... no tatts... what kind of late-inning reliever is that?

Mets playing in the AFL this year will be assigned to the Salt Lake Rafters. Is that Salt Lake as in Utah, or is there a Salt Lake in Arizona, too? I figured these teams were all based around the same area as the Spring Training complexes. Assigned so far are rhp Mickey Jannis, 27: 0-2, 5.54 ERA in 3 games (3 starts) and 13.0 IP, 8 BB, 11 SO for Binghamton and 2-1, 2.98 in 8 games (7 starts) and 45.1 IP, 18 BB, 25 SO for St. Lucie. rhp Mike Hepple, 25: 3-2 (2 Sv), 2.51 ERA in 38 games and 57.1 IP, 28 BB, 35 SO for St. Lucie. lhp Kyle Regnault, 26: 4-4 (7 Sv), 1.99 ERA in 39 games (1 start) and 58.2 IP, 19 BB, 53 SO for St. Lucie. rhp Beck Wheeler, 26: 5-1 (1 Sv), 3.38 ERA in 43 games and 58.2 IP, 26 BB, 56 SO for Binghamton. 1b Dominic Smith, 20: .305 / .354 / .417 // .771 in 118 games and 456 AB with 6 HR and 79 RBI for St. Lucie. ss Gavin Cecchini, 21: .317 / .377 / .442 // .819 in 109 games and 439 AB with 7 HR and 51 RBI for Binghamton. 3b Jeff McNeil, 23: .200 / .250 / .200 // .450 in 4 games and 15 AB with 0 HR and 0 RBI for Binghamton and .312 / .373 / .382 // .755 in 119 games and 468 AB with 1 HR and 40 RBI for St. Lucie.

Bartolo takes on Williams Perez. I'm not sure how many guys that is, but neither of them are any match for Coln.

Run, Michael!

Deux.

One down and one on in the ninth for Washington.

Cuddy 6-11 going against that guy. Flores was 1-1. The Mets battered him in three games the last series. Conforto has never faced Edwin Jackson, but has hit Marlon and Tito well.

Terry knew what he was doing. That was good contact.

Shut up. YESSS!!

Bad pitch, but I like how he comes after folks.

You don't swing at high cheese, Wilmer. Cut that out.

How much were we supposed to offer Michael Bourn?

I agree about not re-upping a guy before the offseason, and I agree about not re-upping Francesa before checking out the field as well. Why I got the news late, I dunno.

Phillies skip the offseason search and appoint Pete Makanin the manager for 2016. WFAN is also making him substitute host and body-double stand-in for Mike Francesa. That's the one that medaled in the Mens 440 at the LA Games in 1984. OHHHH!

The Cardinals tweeted their congratulations and said they're looking forward to hacking him again.
