Well, Conforto looked ... like a ballboy out there.

That was an uninspiring inning.

Now let's score.

Hey, José in center! The game is suddenly interesting!

When did Plawecki start hitting?

All this pink is confusing me as to who is at bat and who is on defense. The Milwaukee catcher looks like a powder puff.

TransMonk wrote: Harvey had horrible body language all night. I'm sayin'! This is a good test for the Mets. A similar team built around sluggifying. If we're not outplaying them, we're not playing well. Because they're playing the same type of game.

Looks like Wilmer's defense has him in the house of dogs. I think you're allowed to trade mad if you you wanted to trade him before you were mad.

A rained-out doubleheader between the Fireflies and the fearsome DelMarVa Shorebirds has put the South Atlantic League schedule-maker behind the eight-ball. Who wants to take another bus ride from Columbia, South Carolina to the Salisbury, Maryland? After two days of rainouts, you know they were bored. I should have driven out and hung out with my boy Merandy and asked him to introduce me to Tebow. Merandy (5-1, 1.88) is still joining with the unadopted Jordan Humphreys (6-0, 1.63) as the most devastating 1-2 punch in affiliated baseball. Between the two of them, they have thrown 77 innings, striking out 84 and walking 12. Beware. Making a nice debut out of the bullpen is the newly promoted Jake Simon, who threw three innings of one-hit, scoreless ball against Lakewood earlier in the week. Look for more from him. The offensive leader has been secondbaseman Michael Paez, who has put up a .262 / .344 / .495 // .839 line so far. He's 10th in the league in RBI and it's always nice to see offense coming from your middle infield. Catcher Anthony Dimino was 7-10 before going down with another injury. Well, if he got the job done against the Brewers, he might've been able to come back home with some authority and some water under the bridge. Does he get the getaway game against the Diamondbacks? Maybe he can aim for redemption then.

Reynolds seems to be about as redundant an asset as the Mets have right now. He may be their best shortstop, at least until Rosario shows otherwise, but damned if he's going to have a chance to show it.

Guilty of insider trading.

The game kind of turned from that point, didn't it? Not literally, but I felt outgamed 800 miles away. The booth was on another subject and didn't rip him at all, but between his bunting (doesn't even get the bat head in fair territory) and his defense (standing on one leg), it's amazing how defiantly disinterested he is in the peripheral fundamentals of being a ballplayer. I don't buy this Adriana thing, but he sure seems to be broken somewhere.

Heckuva throw though.

Lefty Specialist wrote: Harvey will barely go 5 tonight. Another night to overwork the bullpen. Two guys pitch two innings each, five guys sit, and it's all good.

I don't care how Gary says Thames' name, but I pronounce it as "temms." And I don't care if his first name is spelled "Eric," I pronounce it as "Marcus."

Does everybody on this team curse and throw stuff like babies when they strike out? They're almost making Harvey look like the grownup out there. I have to say that his body language is still crappy. He doesn't consistently finish pitches, either sagging and falling away as he finishes his pitch or standing on his landing foot watching his handiwork, which can be a tip. Get in fielding position, man.

Frayed Knot wrote: Carpenter of the Cardinals had TOS, not sure about how many others. If found a list The Post published a list back when Harvey went under. Way to triple-loop the f-bomb, broadcasters.

And after five years, it's hard to see how that doesn't reflect at least somewhat on the coaches. I have no idea what Gorman Thomas is talking about. I feel like I just had a beer with Ted Nugent.

Next time you get suspended, Harv, use the extra time to learn to bunt. Sheesh.

Thames flips out over a strikeout. Throws a bat. Throws a helmet. Throws an elbow guard. No way that that guy is juiced.

That runner 40 feet from home is mess't up.

If Harvey had gotten off the mound with some alacrity, he couldv'e gotten to that ball in plenty of time, Villar would be out, and Harvey in the dugout.
