  1. I like Rosario up right here.
  2. Nice rocket, Wilmer. You know you're supposed to be taking, right?
  3. Oh, we get Betances.
  4. This park, too. We're going to have Reyes pinch-hitting for Smith in the ninth.
  5. Trying to get one inning too much maybe out of Robly.
  6. If ball four hits the umpire's foot and bounces off to oblivion, shouldn't the runner be boogying to first and thinking about second?
  7. I guess our reliever can whiff people too.
  8. Seems like we're getting Robles every night suddenly.
  9. Verizon Answer: Beltran Henderson Maddox Strawberry Ventura
  10. Those last two pounds are the ones that really show.
  11. Match that homer, Conforto. Heck, beat that homer.
  12. I checked my work. I got three of five.
  13. Verizon Trivia: Curtis Granderson is one of six players with 600 at-bats for both the Mets and Yankees. Who are the other five. Uh ... Rick Cerone, Rafael Santana, Darryl Strawbowski, Carlos Beltran, Elliott Maddox.
  14. I'll take the sacrifice fly there, but what a jive slide that was. Bad job setting it up by Céspedes. And the terror of the Lunchie-fortold fourth-inning explosion is minimized run-wise, if not pitch-count-wise.
  15. Settle down, Raffy.
  16. Great chat with Mlicki. Crap swing by Rosario.
  17. We rule the universe in solo homers. Why did the fans explode into cheers two seconds before Céspedes connected? (And as I hit submit, Darling reports that they were cheering about Granderson's homer being thrown back. That guy gave you 2100 perfectly good plate appearances, you ungrateful jerks.)
  18. Cessa looks a little Pettitte-ish in the face. Granderson on the other hand, just looks grand.
  19. It has all year, yeah.
  20. Great first inning for Montero.
  21. I was in the offer camp, but I regretted the vote (and the poll not allowing me to change it), when I learned that a player that accepts the offer isn't allowed to be traded for the first half season and isn't allowed to be traded with a chunk of salary along for the ride. The Mets had a lot of maturing infield talent, and still do 2/3 of a season later, though some has perhaps stagnated.
  22. Here's a race worth taking an interest in. 23. Not in 2013, though. BoxScore 05/27/13, W, Mets 2, New York Yankees 1, Lyon (W, 2-2) BoxScore 05/28/13, W, Mets 2, New York Yankees 1, Rice (W, 3-3) BoxScore 05/29/13, W, Mets 9, New York Yankees 4, Hefner (W, 1-5) BoxScore 05/30/13, W, Mets 3, New York Yankees 1, Gee (W, 3-6) Let's make a tradition of sweeping the season series from the Yankees in the summer following a presidential election. That is, if there are any more presidential elections.

  25. Remember where you come from, Luis.
