Flurp. Stupid De Aza.

Woo! We're that close. ¡DO IT, JUANITO!

Had forgotten the pitcher's spot had moved following a double-switch.

Tying run on foist with one out.

It's one of those durn newfangled doubleheaders. Rosario has a chance to bat fourth in the ninth if the Mets can get somebubby on.

Come on, with a paper-thin lead, they throw Kelly at us? That's just insulting. Don't take that sitting down, Mets.

See what haps when you throw stee-rikes?

Gosh, though, what a silly selection. Terry gets what he needs from Robles and then he asks for more.

That's a #3 hitter! [fimg=500:1vhjw2z8]http://assets.nydailynews.com/polopoly_fs/1.1097422.1339986217!/img/httpImage/image.jpg_gen/derivatives/article_750/clones18s-1-web.jpg[/fimg:1vhjw2z8]

Reyes and the newly indomitable Lagares collaborate to get the Mets on the board. Let's go, Nimmo!

The assault on Paul Molitor has slowed, but now he's feeling José's hot breath. McGowan, you're going down. But that's just an expression. Don't actually go anywhere. We'll need you tomorrow. Ten batters so far. One hit. One other ball in play. Eight strikeouts.

I like Rebuilt Lugo.

Nimmo batting 1.000 when batting third.

"Hopefullly he can give the Mets 80 or so pitches here and rest a beleaguered bullpen." — Josh Lewin What has become of us?

Rosario has had a steady diet of playing time since he came up. More than anybody, I would guess. Butt-ends of doubleheaders are generally the time such creatures get their occasional rest. The real story is Brandon Nimmo's debut in the three-hole!

These guys insist on coming at us with Alejandro De Aza. Let's finish the job. The crazy-assed Mets will be throwing it all over the place in Washington this evening, making baseball happen. Lousiariqueño Seth Lugo returns for the Mets. They've already won once and they're out to do it again. [youtube:27y2f3yb]2mIj-jedeRA[/youtube:27y2f3yb]

John Cougar Lunchbucket wrote: The one thing I remember about Taijeron from Spring Training Games was that he was a truly incompetent outfielder. What a stupid finish! He was, but he has a wing, so he gets to be incompetent in right, and occasionally shoot some sucker down.

Over-running the ball and getting the out at the plate is starting to look like a very Mets-y play. It's called "The Tebow." It's the new Tebow.

Curious what our plan for the ninth is. I think Nimmo is currently on the productive-every-other-game plan.

Rosario to Smith, suckers.

See, bunt singles are weapons.
