Let's load the bases and send up Taijeron Power.

People are still wearing ROSE 14 jerseys in that park. Might as well wear a Cosby shirt.

Don't let this tight end eat you up.

And it gets scored a double.

Easy trivia question. But not as easy as they fly that Reyes completely misplayed.

My wife just got home. I got up to greet her and five runs scored before I sat down.

He's doing fine, but HE'S NO JOSH LEWIN.

Rosario, leave that crap to Jeter. Plant your leg and throw like a real person.

Who's calling this game?

I like how he wears the insignia as a codpiece.

It beats sending Reynolds out there. No offense, Matty, but go, José! I'm also excited about this Nimmor kid.

Well, we're always in the wake of a mass tragedy, usually with far more lives than those lost to Harvey. We haven't had a single word about the mudslides in Sierra Leone which have been exponentially more deadly. But please feel free to talk about the hurricane and it's victims.

In the New York Times, Spring, Texas' Joe Garcia and his dog Heidi escape floodwaters.

He's excited the he's teamed up with @ThePhanatics as his memorabilia partner! These guys and their stupid personal brands.

We should name them after meaner women. Meanwhile, that's going to be it for Wright, isn't it?

Ex-Met figures we won't be seeing but might think about this week include: Dilson Herrera, who has been on the Louisville Bats disabled list since mid-season with shoulder inflammation, his season quite possibly done. Max Wotell, who came over in the same Bruce trade that Herrera came in, flaming out in the lower minors, on the sideline with the same shoulder inflammation since the exact same day Dilson went down with the same. Hmmm... . Doug Flynn, calling games on the radio.

Second straight 30-homer season for Duvall, but otherwise an empty vessel.

Yeah, what a mess. [tweet:2173hypz] [/tweet:2173hypz]

"Jeetuh's gonna do right and make him a Yank!"

Well, part of what I mean by "available" is "not swamped as well." I'm guessing Austin/Round Rock doesn't qualify in that regard.

Harvey set to start Friday. HARVEY!

Tampa got to host an Orioles home game or two during the Baltimore riots and aftermath. I would think the nearest available upper-minor league park (Oklahoma City?) would be preferable than a home game in a state several hours away that will attract under 2,000 people to a stadium meant for 20 times that. Actual evacuees will be in Oklahoma City.

So, I'm still thinking of that game last week when the moved Travis d'Arnaud around the infield to keep the ball away from him. Have you ever seen that before? I mean, there's the famous game of Rusty swapping with Clint Hurdle, and then there's the Orosco/McDowell game, but these are cases of late (or extra) innings of a tight game where a manager has been forced to use a DH or pitcher on defense for two innings. I don't know if led to deep shame on the part of d'Arnaud, but I think a manager trying to hide a guy the whole game is unprecedented.

I missed where you said "example," but everybody needs rest. Sometimes young people more than most.
