  2. This inning has been shit on toast for Familia.
  3. Not if Familia has anything to do with it. Showing me nothing.

  7. Ah, fartmonkeys!
  8. An inning later is fine. SMITTYBOOM!
  9. Outhitting the opposition 8-3. Let's get a lead-like thing.
  10. I think he's physically, mentally, and emotionally tired. No peers to draw energy and emotion from. Funny to see Reyes lose a grounder in the sun.
  11. Rosario is back. [fimg=260]http://toddradom.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/REDS-RADIO.png[/fimg][fimg=240]http://www.grayflannelsuit.net/blog/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/new-york-mets-alternate-logo_1963-1970.gif[/fimg]Jose Peraza, cfZack Cozart, ssJoey Votto, 1bScooter Gennett, 2bEugenio Suarez, 3bAdam Duvall, lfScott Schebler, rfTucker Barnhart, cSal Romano, spJose Reyes, 2bNorichika Aoki, [crossout]rf[/crossout] lfBrandon Nimmo, cfTravis d'Arnaud, cDominic Smith, 1bAmed Rosario, ssTravis Taijeron, [crossout]lf[/crossout] rfMatt Reynolds, 3bJacob deGrom, sp Was kinda hoping we'd see a first career start for Phillip Evans.
  12. Mantle shouldn't have retired. He was embarassed by his .237 batting average, but it was the year of the pitcher, and the whole league hit .230. His OPS+, which he had little way of knowing, was still a lofty 143. The next year, the mounds were lowered and folks started hitting again. If he could have found a way to stay on the field a few more seasons, it might have been a three-way race to 714.
  13. "Matt Reynold's" is starting at third today. He's sort of on the hotseat. He's a reliable infielder, but he's been passed (as expected) by Rosario, but if he doesn't hit more consistently, he's going to be passed by Cecchini and/or Evans and find there's no room on the big league roster for him, even after losing Wright extendedly and shedding Duda and Walker, with Cabrera and Reyes dangling.
  14. Four in a row and five of six. Might have been more encouraging to see earlier, but I'll take it.
  15. Yeah, and Votto is just great.
  16. I should have tried harder in my optometry course.
  17. Leading to a two-run single! All those infield plays by the Reds, and their pitchers just wouldn't throw strikes. Finally they groove one.
  18. Camera just caught deGrom dipping. Didn't know he had the habit.
  19. And we're through the fifth with the lead. Does Montero take his turn at bat?
  20. Innocent two-out walks that turn into go-ahead two-out rallies are the shizzle.
  21. MFS62 wrote: I hope Travis comes up as Mr. Big again, as long as we don't have to look at Sarah Jessica Parker. Good job. Later Neither of the two Travises have cracked the lineup.
