  1. Distance from home plate to the backstop: Yankee Stadium I: 80 feet Yankee Stadium II: 73 feet Yankee Stadium III: 52 feet Polo Grounds: 65 feet Big Shea: 48 feet Citi Field: 46 feet

  3. [tweet:jpb4947c] [/tweet:jpb4947c] So he must've seen yesterday's game also.
  4. Brutalism, generally, but The Third Church of Christ Scientist, Washington, DC, in particular. I mean, the Marlins homerun sculpture, properly scaled, would be a perfectly pleasant diversion at a miniature golf course, but where would that building work?
  5. I narrowly dodged a wickid liner off Josh Barfield's bat at a minor league park. I'm all for the netting. Your eyes focus beyond it and you barely notice it's there. You still get plenty of souvenirs through pops over the netting, and the liners generally get handed under the nets to kids, which is where they should be going anyhow.
  6. One game is one game, but I fear that this game alone has cost Goeddel his spot on the 40 this off-season and possibly his big league career. The team never seemed to think much of him even when he's been pitching effectively.
  7. Gonzo Germen! Last seen knockin' 'em dead in Japan!
  8. Only update I could find on the fan was that she was a little girl watching the game with her grandparents and that she had been hospitalized. Then an old buddy came through with the scoop. [tweet:15f82vlx] [/tweet:15f82vlx]
  9. My feed was delayed?
  10. This game crashed like Cassini. Circling the drain for a the last few months isn't living, 2017 Mets.
  11. Not LOL at all, but the Yankee game has been delayed as they attend to a kid hit by a Todd Frazier foul line drive.

  13. Eric is auditioning for the 2018 51s.
  14. Into the eighth inning. Zero walks.
  15. We've got a Nimbus Bomb in captivity, helping the Mets pull within a 5-2 deficit. YEAH! Solo homers!
  16. So cast a broad net, looking at outside people, and then hire your "own guys." But not Sandy, who allegedly is too loyal to his own guys.
  17. Handsome Angel Pagan.
  18. Ah, that makes it 23% less off-putting! It's not a fly-by-night carrier at all! It's an aggregator of fly-by-night carriers! Whew!
  19. He'd count if he hadn't already been named. Josh T. Hole.
  20. And Ozuna needs to be hospitalized with awesomeness. How long can you keep a team down with Stanton-Yellich-Ozuna in the outfield? It's like Valentine-Dawson-Cromartie for the new age. Or Bell-Moseby-Barfield. Only better.
  21. The Mets actually have a sponsor named Cheap-O Air? I guess, next to Kars-4-Kids and YourMarketingSucks.com, it's not as embarrassing, but who would put their child on a plane with "Cheap-O" painted on the tail section? Do any of you fly Cheap-O?
  22. I wonder if he would have caught that game-turning drive off the top of Reyes' glove.
  23. I'm rooting for a draft pick named Cecchini and another one named Phil Evans. Get them into the lineup, Mr. Collins. And lead Nimmo off.
