I always loved that the font for the names on the back of Reds jerseys was seemingly 50% bigger than anybody else's. It also made for an impressive rainbow of identity for players with names like BILLINHAM, HOUSEHOLDER, or BERRYHILL. I'm desperate to see SALTALAMACCHIA rendered on a classick Reds jersey.

He, Stephen Ngosek , and Matt Pobryeko still look like some real dealers out of the bullpen, at least at this level, and those last two finished up last night's win with three scoreless innings. Andres Gimenez seems to be coming on strong, with nine total bases and two walks in his last four games. That damned Dash Winningham may (just may) be starting to show some life too. A power hitter who isn't hitting for power, the .205-batting/.3590-slugging Dash needs to turn it on so we can say we have a firstbaseman bringing it at every level of the minors. Come on, Dash!
