Mr. Reyes and Mr. Flores, please report to the outfield room.

Three runs in three innings on seven hits for Harvey so far this afternoon in San Francisco. Not that we couldn't have used that today. Keith Hernandez revealed today that he tried to reach out and have Harvey reeled in.

I'm starting to get the notion that Jay Z funneled money to the Mariners to get them to blow away the Yankees and jump start his sideline in representation.

I don't guess it's gonna break that way.

1.000 batting average, yo.

You've been Rhamed.

Holy crap! Russell Martin is playing short!

I spoke too soon. [fimg=250:161d6k7l]https://bloximages.newyork1.vip.townnews.com/valleymorningstar.com/content/tncms/assets/v3/editorial/b/75/b75ba963-025e-5196-a562-5b775a32cf9b/5af24c6dc2701.image.jpg?resize=507%2C760[/fimg:161d6k7l]

I remember Zachry breaking his toe kicking the dugout wall. Rangers call up lefty Brandon Mann after 17 years in the minors.

Ten runs, with no homers. And speaking of no homers, Juanny "Uppercut" Lagares has none so far, but he's hitting .357.

Sooner or later, their going give Lugo another chance to see if he can do this as a starter, right?

Vladdy, Jr. ain't a blue Jay yet, but this guy's son and namesake just got double-switched into the game:

Rosario, who just drove in that run, has walkup music that sounds like The Marshall Tucker Band's "Heard It in a Love Song."

Adrian Gonzalez showing pinch-hit capacity.

Lagares with the knockout punch! [fimg=500:3kil24o7]https://img00.deviantart.net/bc9d/i/2015/139/1/a/popeye_knockout_punch_by_n64paul-d8u1hmx.jpg[/fimg:3kil24o7]

Lefty pitcher, righty hitter, two outs. Perfect time to steal home.

Yes, but suddenly the Mets are all RISP-y.

A closer arrested for assault? Who do the Jays think they are?

Welke has a wide plate.

Shoulda went for that, Grandy. If you miss a popup it doesn't roll to the wall or anything.

The best thirdbaseman right now for my money is Nolan Arrenado. His numbers may be Coors-inflated, but he's finished eighth, fifth, and fourth in MVP voting the last three years, actually performing better each of those years, and is doing better still this year. Plus he's unquestionably the standard-bearer with the glove, whatever that's worth in an era where folks increasingly strike out, or homer, or walk.

McNeil with one homer tonight and Alonso with two, including the ninth-inning walkoff.

Rotating relievers and expectant fathers. They call up Buddy Baumann and Buddy Pine. But almost none of that is true. They weren't four or five years from contending. The team wasn't putrid. Dickey was secured for the coming season, or available to trade, as they did. deGrom wasn't an infielder, but a talented pitcher in the Mets organization. Wright wasn't in his 30s, and wouldn't, in fact, turn 30 until December of that season, after the contract was signed.
