  1. Man, the Cubbies are taking pictures up there.
  2. Taijuan is pretty jacked.
  3. Good enough three-peat.
  4. Brothers is all over the place and behind you with the bases loaded. Don't be chasing shit.
  5. Wow, Dom could smell the commissioner's signature on that pitch.
  6. Also, Lindor has been exhibiting an Edgardian ability to waste two-strike pitches until he gets the one he wants.
  7. I like how these two teams simultaneously seem so chummy and so competitive.
  8. Dom working on a Gold Glove this inning.
  9. Talking to you, too, Alonso. Beautiful.
  10. Hitting against the shift moves me deep inside.
  11. Frayed Knot wrote: TBR ace Tyler Glasnow to the IL with a partially torn UCL. I suppose how partially is partially will be a big factor jn the Rays' success this season. As being discussed in the booth NOW!!!, GlasNOW!!! is blaming his injury on throwing his last start without his grip goo available to him.
  12. My wife says, yeah, that's totally blood splatter on Pillar's bat.
  13. Scherzer is going to be the big prize at the trade deadline.

There was no press release on this one either, just a Too Hot Baseball WWW.FACEBOOK.COM Signed!📄✍🏻 Andres Regnault has signed with the Gateway Grizzlies of the Frontier League. Regnault played in the Mets organization from 2016 - 2019. In 2018 Regnault was named the Sterling Minor... screaming FB announcement we finally found. You'll note from that announcement that the Gateway Grizzlies are under the impression that "In 2018 Regnault was named the Sterling Minor League Organizational Player of the Year ... ." But ... that's only true if he also goes by the name "Pete Alonso." Andres was named the Sterling Outstanding Player on the DSL Mets 1 squad — which is different. Sounds like somebody's agent is bending the truth a little to keep his portly client working. Unfortunately, it was the Year of Covid, so he never saw any live-game action, ending his Mets career before it began. That was higly unfortunate, because when you sign a Kaiser, you sure hope that it's permanente. HA! I kid! You know what that means, right? When one Pujol closes, another Pujol opens! Oh, it hurts, I tell ya. Enjoy the Frontier League, men!
  15. It's good to know Aaron Altherr is still contributing.
  16. It's weird how different sites have such varying numbers. BB-R.com has them at 55.6% to make postseason, 4.4% to win World Series . I generally respect FanGraph's math more, but seeing them more optimistic to the tune of 30.1 and 8.3 points, respectively, tells me that there are at least a few arbitrary factors folks are working with. They have nearly triple the World Championship optimism that BB-R has!
  17. Pitching in https://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/MIL/MIL202009130.shtmlSeptember against the Brewers, in a season nobody really wanted to show up for — that's the way to get yourself a no-hitter.
  18. Transactions, 6/13/2021 [td90]Direction[/td90][td90]COMING[/td90][td90]Transaction[/td90][td90]Signed Away from Minnesota and Assigned to Complex League[/td90][th]Position Group[/th][th]=#FF4A00]Relief Pitcher[/th][td90][/td90][td90]https://img.mlbstatic.com/mlb-photos/image/upload/w_180,g_auto,c_fill/v1/people/664785/headshot/milb/current>[/td90][td90]Name[/td90][td90]Tom Hackimer [fimg=50]http://thecranepool.net/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/US-flag.png[/fimg][/td90][td90]DoB[/td90][td90]6/28/94[/td90][td90]B/T[/td90][td90]R/R[/td90] Hackey-Sack is a righthanded sidearmer with a pretty dramatic motion for a guy under six feet. He's not quite one of those fall-off-the-mound sidearmers, but he's certainly bringing it from farther over than the upright sidearmers. He's from New Hyde Park New York, and like ex-Met Mike Baxter, tennis superstar Vitas Geriulaitis and cannibal cop Gilberto Valle, is an alum of Archbishop Molloy. He's also counted among the alums of St. John's U., along with John Franco, Frank Viola, Joe Panik, C.J. Nitkowski, Terry Bross, and Matt Galante. He comes, unsurprisingly, with the recommendation of former Red Storm coach Ed Blankmeyer, but the Mets had already drafted him back in 2015, in the 15th round, but failed to sign him. Toby Gardenhire, his manager with the St. Paul Saints, has also sung Hack's praises, despite him getting hit hard there.
  19. That's the second time Kilomé got flipped. For the same guy both times. I'll talk to the boys in shipping and get this sorted out. OE: Fix't. It appears that Josh Hejka has been fucking around with the database.
  20. There's also Justin Dunn on the other side of that. And Anthony Swarzak and Guerson Batista. Plus the cash the Mets got. You can't put a value on cash ... or something.
  21. Diaz brought the plow tonight, and went straight through Contreras, Bryant, and Rizzo.
  22. I'll say this for Arrieta: If his sweet nude spread from six years ago is any indicator, he's a rare tatt-free pitcher.
  23. The funny thing is that Rizzo missed the tag, but it didn't matter, because Alonso's slide left him 12 inches short of the bag and a sitting duck.
  24. It's a good day for pickoffs. Maybe it's Contreras making them a first-place team.
  25. Pete's homer barrage in Baltimore is feeling far away.
