I'm just (a) not used to full admission being allowed after the last year and a half, and ( seeing a sellout actually represented by people in every seat rather than tooling around the concourse, especially down by seven or whatever.
  2. Cabrera? Everett? Man.
  3. Villar becomes the 10th Met to homer from both sides of the plate in the same game. I'm going to guess ... Villar HoJo Hundley Murray Mazzilli Jefferies Beltran (duh) Reyes uh ... Mookie? Bonilla
  4. Jonathan fucking Villar may deserve his own fucking thread.
  5. Let's get Guillorme out to short here.

  7. Troposphere is making the wrong kind of statement.
  8. A Yankee-lovin' Stony Brook grad? Well, in the sense that you can call getting a degree from Stony Brook "graduating," sure.
  9. We're at 1,142! Nick Tropeano!
  10. I think this game is officially in the Tropeano Zone.
  11. [bIGPURPLE]GRAND SALAMI BY THE WORST PLAYER IN THE LEAGUE!![/bIGPURPLE]
  12. It was just stunning to see how every seat at Petco seemed to have somebody in it.
  13. Playing "Wild Thing" when an opposition pitcher can't find the plate is kind of a dick move, Citi Field DJ.
  14. dinosaur jesus wrote: If the Pirates were the Mets, we'd be wondering why the hell Brubaker stayed in to pitch to Smith. And to Alonso. That was nuts. Well, if this guy Howard was the Bucs' main option, I understand their reluctance to go to him.
  15. Sure nice to see Pete go deep with men on bez.
  16. You know, it's taken as a matter of fact that no Mets position player could credibly be added to the All Star Team, but I don't think it's too scandalous to think that maybe this Nimmo guy is qualified.
  17. Adam Frazier is the first Pirate secondbaseman to start as an All-Star since Mazeroski? Not Stennett, not Johnny Ray? Not Neil Walker? Wow.
  18. The straight stuff is more or less working, but his slider is doing nothing.
  19. Everything you're hoping your favorite other player in the Mets lineup might be when he finds himself? That's what Nimmo is now. And it's pretty much what he's been this season whenever he's been in the lineup.
  20. Walker is pretty futile at the plate, isn't he?
  21. The back part of the Pirates lineup is a pretty much a festival of guys who ain't ready, but that don't matter if you can't throw strikes. Looked like Taijuan misses his goo. AND VILLAR TIES IT WITH ONE SWING!
  22. Also, bullpen carts are cool. Get the guy in from the outfield in 15 seconds and let him take two throws. But in fairness, the three-batter rule has shaved off a great many of the mid-inning changes.
  23. Jayson Stark loves starting over-rated/most-disappointing/least-valuable arguments. ESPN laid him off, but he loved to go click-hunting with that sort of stuff for them. He's probably better than that, but some days he can't help himself.
  24. The Pads are supposedly also hot for Bryant and ready to bid. They have Manny Machado at third, so I'm guessing they see him displacing Eric Hosmer at first, and maybe playing some outfield. Bryant's from Las Vegas, but he spent three years at UC San Diego, so it may well be his preferred landing spot, if he has any say.
  25. Tall, beefy, handsome college basketball guy. Drafted by the Mets back in 2015, but he went back to school instead. Also a pitching instructor and an https://www.linkedin.com/in/geoff-hartlieb-579210b1aspiring advertising/pr guy.
