  1. Remember that this game is, for some unknown reason, slated to start at 1935h rather than the usual 1905h
  2. And the DH gets in in (just barely) under Seven Hours ... so, y'know, there's that.
  3. Oooh look, a RiSP AB with no contact!!!! Can't remember the last time I saw that.
  4. So our track record with this silly extra inning rule is - 3 runs allowed vs Atlanta - 1 run allowed vs the Yanx (it could have been more except it was a walk-off) - and now 4 runs allowed here Meanwhile, NYM bats have produced a grand total of ONE run
  5. Well, every game we have the 'Designated Suck Reliever' and now we know who it is for this game.
  6. Well we've yet to prevent a run starting with this 'magic runner' bullshit. Now would be a good time to start.
  7. We're really good at pop-ups today ... and get even better at them when runners are on. Meanwhile, our pitchers have put the leadoff hitter on in every inning ../ so we're pretty much lucky to be only down 1-0
  8. Just so I can plan the rest of my evening, are we planning on making contract any time in this game or can the MFY simply give their outfielders the rest of the day off?
  9. Why the hell would we want to sit Conforto???
  10. The hit just short hopped him so he lost whatever momentum he had. But still, he doesn't have a RF arm and he seems insistent on getting the ball home on the fly.
  11. Diaz's HR rate is more than double as a NYM as compared to what it was w/Seattle (0.9 per/9 IP over the course of nearly three full seasons vs just north of 2.0 now) and nearly 3.5 times what it was in his 2018 season w/the Mariners (0.6) But the bigger problem is that you can't Not pitch him.
  12. Well, its sort of Yanx @ Mets even though it's in the Bronx (for some reason which I STILL haven't heard an explanation for) Lugo vs MLB debut'er Deivi something er other*. * Garcia if anyone is a stickler for, y'know, facts
  13. Of the list of things that went wrong over the last few innings of that game Ramos not slapping the tag on the sliding runner is about 55th on most grievous sins, and even then the bigger crime there was the sub-par throw by Conforto; it was both looped and off line.

  15. Error, Walk, HBP, Check Swing single followed what was essentially should have been a second error. Geez, at least make them earn it!!!!
  16. The bicycling distance, as suggested by Google Maps, from CitiField to YSIII is 13.3 miles if you cross the Ed Koch (59th St) Bridge then turn north up 2nd Avenue, or 16.4 if you want to head cross town first and take the Hudson River Greenway north so as to hit YSIII from the west. ... y'know, just in case Gary or Keith were wondering.
  17. I like how the Yanx have only their top-priced sections -- the ones in front of the 'Moat' -- covered with a tarp. So what if those unwashed masses return to wet and/or sun-bleached seats, we know where our bread is really buttered.
  18. I wonder if there's been a three-hour-plus 7-inning game yet his season? Cuz this one looks like it's headed that way.
  19. Not to sound ungrateful, but that's two straight innings leaving the bags loaded. And with this bullpen ...
  20. NOW Petey runs on a wild pitch!!!!!!
  21. Ooooh, SNY is going to provide in depth analysis of a Jets practice. Set your DVRs
  22. And after two runs are in and bases-loaded one out: Pop Foul followed by a K Nimmo gets kremed by Kriske
  23. And even in this inning, we've got three hits w/RiSP AND a Wild Pitch w/a runner on 3rd and somehow that all adds up to just two runs. Up to Nimmo to make this inning not a disappointment despite taking the lead.
