  1. Braves got 1 hit across 14 innings. ONE. A Freddie bloop, so they came pretty close to getting a double-bagel thrown at them (even if somewhat smaller bagels than usual) And it's not like they were facing Bumgarner circa 2015

The lone SDP run? ... a Fernando Tatis Jr HR, his 5th in 2-1/2 games So I cashed it in soon after this point and missed the Pads scoring 2 in the 7th, 2 in the 8th, 2 in the 9th, and 1 more in the 11th for an 8-7 win and a 3-1 series win. And why, even with the earlier start times on SNB, did I miss this comeback? Four! Fifty! Nine! ... thats why. They were already at two-plus in the 5th.

  4. Others here may have an alternate definition of sextuple happiness, but this one will suffice quite nicely for now.

  6. Oh, and btw, the Phils lost, the Marlins lost, I heard somewhere that the Nats lost ... and the Yanx lost. So a good day for those in the Orange and Blue And Baltimore broke Oakland's 13 G winning streak.
  7. Acuna = K Freddie = FO-6 Ozuna = FO 9 So that's 0-2 w/1 hit over 14 innings First ever no-no in this scheduled 7-inning game era
  8. Braves, rained out last night vs the DBacks, got 1-hit in Game One of today's make-up DH (5-0). And they liked that score so much that they coughed up a 0-5 deficit in the top of the 1st in Game Two. Now down 7-0, Madison Bumgarner (remember him?) is no-hitting Los Bravos as they go to the 7th
  9. And a sub-3:00 game certainly didn't seem to be in the offing after that 1st inning.
  10. Lindor is pretty rank at the moment.
  11. JDD doing that multiple shuffle-step thing again ... although his throws have been good. btw, Almora's glove gives me a hankering for some key lime pie
  12. And how many times do you see it, the guy who makes a great play to end the inning bats second in the bottom half?
  13. Frayed Knot wrote: Anyway, it looks like today is 'Make Outs on the Bases' day. Between Harrison being picked off, Villar's CS at 2nd, Robles out at 3rd trying to stretch, and Lindor getting gunned at home while tagging, we've had runners thrown out for the cycle in this game.
  14. He's also played a few very tentatively out there that a better LF maybe catches. Anyway, it looks like today is 'Make Outs on the Bases' day.
  15. Would have been nice to see that following a Brandon Nimmo walk.
  16. Well at least the guy with the contract that Lindor's contract is based on is having a good week. Fernando Tatis Jr hit two HRs Friday night off of Kershaw, then two more off Trevor Bauer yesterday. Dodgers came back to win the Saturday game though after, stop me if you've heard this one, the manager decided Blake Snell needed to be removed w/one out, no one on, and a 3-2 lead in the 6th inning. Before the 6th was over the Pads were down 5-3
  17. =bmfc1 post_id=61989 time=1619272054 user_id=73] The comments include suggestions that Jake is on steroids
  18. Simply stunning.
  19. Hits in 2021 Lindor = 11 in 15 starts deGrom = 5 in 4 starts
  20. To steal a line from the late Channel 11 sportscaster Jerry Girard (one which he used with Wayne Gretzky): Jacob deGrom has just been named 'Player of the Week' ... for Next week!.

  22. Cash this one in Frankie
  23. But we still need more runs
  24. The Nimmonator just doesn't have the same ring to it.
  25. And the song remains the same. Nice AB by JMcN to set it up.
