  1. =Marshmallowmilkshake post_id=101839 time=1659441121 user_id=119] The Cubs' Contrares and Robertson still on the board?
  2. =bmfc1 post_id=101841 time=1659443519 user_id=73] Jared Kelenick (let's count him for this exercise)
  3. I assumed he was the product of Matt Harvey and some eastern European model/actress/coke dealer.
  4. I predict the Mets will add a two-time CY winner by tomorrow.
  5. The key, of course, is to pick the right guy(s) to bet on. The Braves right now have Olson, Riley, Albies and Acuna under lengthy deals. The Braves followed this same strategy once before but then reversed course part way through on the likes of Dan Uggla, Andrelton Simmons, Justin Upton, and one or two others.
  6. =Marshmallowmilkshake post_id=101802 time=1659401155 user_id=119] JD pulled out. Trade?
  7. Seems like an early PH move for Buck.[VBach for JDD, Top 5th, 1 run lead, runner on 2nd]
  8. =Marshmallowmilkshake post_id=101786 time=1659397622 user_id=119] Boston Red Sox traded C Christian Vazquez to Houston.
  9. I don't think he'll ever amount to a good enough hitter to hold down a starting position on any team much less a good one, but its a shame that he's always seemed to get just enough injuries to virtually guarantee that.
  10. Montas was probably the best SP after Castillo and, like Castillo, is under control through 2023. He and the reliever cost the Yanx four prospects, one a top-100 guy (#70) acc to mlb.com's current estimate.
  11. Yeah, Atlanta is higher than many people realize, about 1,000 ft. And, since most major cities are on harbors, lakes, or rivers, that, I believe, made ATL the highest ML city pre-Denver, and it's probably near Phoenix for next now. oe: cross-posted with above
  12. And now the Cubs trade reliever Scott Effross, already 28 but in the midst of a very nice season and has five years of team control after this one, to the Yanx for what seems like an OK 24 y/o pitching prospect. That division seems to be going about things ass backwards.
  13. Wait! The struggling to stay in 1st place Brewers are selling!?!?
  14. San Diego has already released him this year. Besides, if I'm them I Want him to go to L.A. He's 15-for-100 across three teams this year (13 singles).
  15. Gotta say, winning six straight then going to meet the worst team in the league while having Scherzer and deGrom lined up is a pretty nice situation to be in. It also tends to instill the idea that anything short of a dominating sweep represents utter failure.
  16. Cano was 4 for 26 as a Brave. Three of those hits came in a seven AB span vs the Mets in his first two games with Atlanta. After that he went 1-fer-19
  17. =kcmets post_id=101704 time=1659364900 user_id=53] What is an excellent eve?
  18. from TWiB July 25-31: =Fman99 post_id=101695 time=1659356596 user_id=86] It'd be nice if any team could kick the Braves around a bit. They just steamroll everyone.
  19. A Salvatore Perez 9th inning 3R HR takes down the Yanx 8-6 No HRs for Judge today for the first time 39 consecutive games (not really)
  20. So the Braves finish July 18 - 8 and, assuming the Mets don't blow this one, they'll have gained one half a game on the Mets during that time.
  21. Bottom 9: One out single by Olson, first pitch double by Riley ... Braves win.
  22. Jose Fernandez, still would just now be turning 30. Wow!
  23. Gotta like the no taking the foot off the gas attitude, especially on a day where it felt like an easy cruise early on.
  24. Middle of the 8th in Atlanta, still scoreless.
  25. So of course he makes an E right after I say that.
