    Good thing Cora was aggressive with Nimmo, not a sure thing given Mookie's arm and a short throw, otherwise they wouldn't have scored at all.

    Only 9 starts this season for Heaney, the now 31 y/o one-time 9th overall draft pick of the Marlins, but his numbers how things are going in Dodger-land this year. 2019 ERA = 4.91 (18 Starts w/LAA) 2020 = 4.46 (12 - LAA) 2021 = 5.83 (23 - LAA & NYY) 2022 = 1.94 (all with LAD)

    Phils shutout be cross-state Pitt 5-Zip today. Braves/Cards on SNB was rain delayed so the results will be late. Currently scoreless mid 4th in StL And, after taking g the first with like visions of a sweep in their eyes, the Yans lose both Saturday (one hit thru 11 innings!!) and Sunday in Oakland and have to settle for two-two split.

    And the Cards get a walk-off walk!! oe: not as good as beating the '70s Pirates teams when you could get a walk-off walk off (Bob) Walk, but still pretty cool.

    I understand that, after the real game starting around 5 PM or so, there's going to be an exhibition involving younger players who may someday be good enough to get invited back for a real game a couple of decades from now. This could be a fun thing to watch so we'll follow that game here in this thread. Some kid named David Peterson will pitch for the home team facing young Kyle Freeland Hijinx may ensue and I hear there's to be a fireworks display before the game.
