Crap. So we miss the shitty fill in starter and get Max Fried. Annoying Yeah. I'm sure that had nothing to do with the Braves thinking. The weather tomorrow looks bad, too: "Thunderstorms in the morning followed by occasional showers in the afternoon. High 71F. Winds SSW at 15 to 25 mph. Chance of rain 70%. Higher wind gusts possible."

Banged. Tyler Jay will have at least two days as a major leaguer. The new date is September 26th so that might be the day that the Mets clinch the division title.

I read that Tyler Jay will join the team tonight. He's only pitched in one game in Syracuse but that's good enough. Should the Mets carry a 3d catcher so Alvarez can DH? Nido adds next-to-nothing but he would allow the Mets to DH Alvarez and then they can PH or PR for Narváez without losing the DH. -

How often does a DH bat 9th? I'm not saying it's wrong, I'm saying that it says something about Stewart and the decision to keep him around despite a terrible ST.

Mets have corrected Thursday start time to 1:10 PM. 12:10 will be the first pitch for the doubleheader after tomorrow's game is "banged".
