When I first started watching the Mets I thought Rey was the best thing ever.....I loved him....the things he did with the glove was amazin. I should add that I still like Rey.

When I first came here and talked to people about going to see a ballgame one of the first things I was told was that Shea is a dump....and you are right,it seems when people on TV talk about the Mets they mention that Shea is a dump....I remember Jon Stewart was at a game last season and Cotter asked him if he would miss Shea,Stewert said something like yeah it's a dump but it's my favorite stadium....

I'm kinda in the it's ok that the Mets have never had a no hitter,I'd hate for one to happen in say FLA with a few thousand fans watching....in my perfect world it would happen at Shea with Gary calling the game and Ralph in the booth with a packed house on Murph's anniversary.

Acevedo was conscious and in intensive care Friday, Aguilas Cibaenas executive Luichy Sanchez told The Associated Press. "Is this a surprise? Absolutely," Orioles executive vice president Mike Flanagan said in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. "We're obviously saddened to hear the news. This sounds like a serious accident." A non-roster invite to Orioles spring training, Acevedo crashed his motorcycle into a car early Friday in Santiago. Aguilas Cibaenas officials did not know if the car was moving at the time of the accident. Acevedo, who did not pitch for a major league team in 2006, is 18-25 with a 5.74 ERA in five seasons with Cincinnati and Colorado. He threw eight innings and was named an All-Star in the recent Caribbean Series in Puerto Rico, which the Aguilas won for the Dominican Republic. Acevedo was supposed to report to Orioles camp Wednesday, but he never arrived.
