I would have sworn to have seen that happen 83, so I guess the manager could have him throw one pitch then yank him? -

Out of the options the Mets have I would have more faith in Sosa as the long man / spot starter type. -

From a Newsday Blog. ] The Mets announced this morning that Darryl Strawberry has been hired as a full-time instructor. Strawberry just walked in the door and still looks like he could rip a few tape-measure shots during BP. "It's great to come home," Strawberry said. "This is where I got my start and where my heart is. Omar PLEASE keep Sosa......I swear to never again ask you for anything. -
As bad as things look right now I at least don't have hemorrhoids.

I'm concerned, especially about Delgado and the fact that so many players are getting injured so early in Spring, I mean didn't they rest up and keep in shape during the off season?
-
William Hung needs a good spring training number......like 94 Randy Jackson

Isn't every Spring Training like this?

Nymr83 wrote: I would think the bench is Castro, Easley, Anderson, Gotay, Chavez, with one spot open for either Pagan or Valentin, I don't think Saenz makes the team. Minaya was talking about Delgado yesterday( replete with an ugly Citi Field cap)and mentioned " this si why we have guys like Saenz". They bring experience to the team.

anyone else having trouble posting today, keep getting invalid session error.

Not to sound alarmist here, but of course I am, this seems bad to me. Spring Training has just started and he's getting an MRI....

In his regular-season career against Santana, Gonzalez has six hits in seven at-bats, including two homers and two doubles. Source Mets.com St. Louis leads 4 - 3 in the 8th. Santana - 2IP - HITS - 4- RUNS 3 box

I'm in stitches here reading the quote from Brian McRae about how every team plays them like it's the World Series because they hate our manager.....brilliant.

Santana hits a home run during batting practice for pitchers, he and his team mates react.

Glavine on Milledge.... ]Lastings is a young kid who has some flair to him right now. But some of his reputation is overblown," Glavine said. "Did he make some mistakes? Yes. But I'd say it was youthful exuberance, not, 'This is a bad guy.' He has some growing up to do, learning to respect the game. But he has talent and he works hard at what he's trying to do." I think Milledge might be adding to the truth a bit..

We know Wagner was one, I would guess Glavine as another but not LoDuca, not based on anything though.

Spiezio had better get rid of that red chin patch before he goes to the Big House.....

They should put the fat blokes to work on building the new stadium.

You're right Grimm, from a November 06 Citigroup release. ] The Mets, in conjunction with their construction partners Hunt-Bovis and HOK, began construction of the 45,000-capacity Citi Field this summer in the outfield parking lot between Shea Stadium and 126th Street. More than 2,200 of the 2,800 piles already have been driven
-
If the stadium is expected to break ground this November why will it take until the 2011 season for it to open, does that seem like a long time to build it?
-
In a perfect world we'd love to have Jose hit ground ball singles every time up, I think that HoJo was exaggerating there to make a point....Reyes needs to not swing for the fences and try and hit the ball on the ground.

I'm avoiding the Irish Voice and Irish Echo this week.

Right, it's Spring Training, we have ties.
