Wasn't the second pic from a game not along after Rocker made his comments....or down the stretch when the Mets nearly clawed the Braves lead back?

Keith hanging around in the dugout in the 11th inning, I think not....legs up in the lounge chair with a beer and a smoke in the players area....yes.

I hadn't noticed would be nice if my Flynn were with me to celebrate.

Reyes , looked really , really freaking happy last night....Lastings for the beats.....Francoeur.....

WOW...I know it's only two innings but this kid has some stuff, electric watch, the ump seems to be getting caught up in the hype with his over the top strike three antics. Throughly enjoying the MLB Network crew too.

72/3 innings 2 runs - earned 5 hits 0 BB 9 SO 0 HR I'm officially excited

I needed to look a few times as I read this as.. Darryl as the rapist

Every player thinks this I'm sure..... But one thing Forsythe is certain about is that whatever team selects him, he plans to be on their major league roster sooner rather than later. that and keeping an even keel. See you soon sonny boy

This is so typical of what gets said about the Mets and their farm...from Harper today , talking about possible trade pickups. And while the rookie performances of Ike Davis, Jenrry Mejia, Jon Niese, and now Ruben Tejada are improving the perception of the Mets' farm system, it is still considered thin regarding top prospects at the upper levels. Great stuff fman......just the right amount of vulgar

McPhail confessed after watching: "You tend to get a little nervous, quite frankly." I'm not Mr. Pitch Count or anything but 157 for a 20 year old kid? wow. Lennon Looks as though the Mets won't have to worry about Matt Harvey, whom they chose seventh overall in last night's first-year player draft, going deep into games. Harvey, a University of North Carolina junior, threw 157 pitches in a 15-strikeout complete-game victory over Clemson this season. Scouts reported that Harvey's final pitch was 96 mph, a testament to the right-hander's strength and durability. "It was interesting at the beginning of the game," Harvey said last night on a conference call. "I felt kind of sick. I didn't feel that great. But in the third and fourth innings, I got my legs under me, and in the seventh and eighth, I felt the best I had all night. After striking out the side in the eighth, it was pretty tough not to go back out there." The Tar Heels appreciated the effort, but Marlin McPhail, the Mets' scout in attendance, had mixed emotions. "You get a little nervous," McPhail said. "Quite frankly, I don't know what other word to use." But the Mets still had no trepidation about drafting Harvey, even if he does have Scott Boras as his agent. That guarantees the Mets will be forced above slot to sign Harvey. When asked about dealing with Boras, Omar Minaya said they have a "working relationship." He would not comment specifically about paying above slot for Harvey. "In the past, what we've done is, we've put a price on a player," Minaya said. "And we pretty much have felt that when we want a player, we sign him.'' Rudy Terrasas, the Mets' director of amateur scouting, compared Harvey to Mike Pelfrey in pitching style. The two also share Boras as an agent, and it took the Mets nearly six months to sign Pelfrey, who was the No. 9 overall pick in 2005. Harvey spurned the Angels' offer when he was first drafted in 2007.

For fucks sake , can the local media stop demonizing the tool that grabbed the ball that was meant for a kid next to him?

Per Lennon Jesus Feliciano was not in today's starting lineup for Triple-A Buffalo, further evidence that he will join the Mets for tomorrow's series opener against the Padres at Citi Field. Pretty much what we told you in today's story in the wake of Omir Santos' demotion to Double-A Binghamton on Sunday. Looks like Jason Bay -- the Mets' interim backup centerfielder -- can breathe easy again.

I expect to see Carter doing push ups and pumping iron between at-bats to keep his high energy up....maybe have him running up and down the so called great hall they have at the dump.

If Carter doesn't get a lot of playing time here , or batting time I suppose then I don't know what's in store for him.

The Rod "It's nice to have the success we're having at home, but if you can't win two out of three on the road or at least play .500 there, you're not going anywhere, We definitely need to pick up our game on the road." Truer words were never spoken.
