  1. Are we to believe the fun on Houston that had him throwing heat at 103 last night?
  2. I confess to giving up on this game at the end of the 11th inning, I just had no faith in the offence.
  3. That's just so lazy by espn or the writer, whatever, it would take less than one minute to check the numbers that bucket gave us. So yeah, STFU espn.
  4. "Something came on about the fourth or fifth inning," Wright said. "I felt real nauseous and just throwing up a lot. I just didn't feel like I was helping out all that much. I felt like I did what I could and then really couldn't do much more after that." "It was just the fact that I just didn't think I could play. Or, if I could play, I couldn't do anything to help those guys out there," he said. "I felt good up until about the fourth or fifth inning, and then something just hit me. I don't know if it's something going through me or I'm just coming down with something. I felt nauseous and dizzy, and more importantly just really throwing up and feeling bad out there. I talked with [manager] Jerry [Manuel] and those guys and they wanted to get someone in there that probably could help them more than I could at that point.
  5. @KBurkhardtSNY: Mets lineup: Reyes. Pagan. Wright. Beltran. Davis. Francoeur. Thole. Tejada. Dickey. @KBurkhardtSNY: Barajas will be back tomorrow. Jerry said he will keep all 3 Catchers. #Mets
  6. Great article , worth the time it took to read. That last paragraph in a way makes Fred look like a man going slightly crazy..... Did he really call the press box? New York has exposed the worst in him. He has threatened a reporter, worn earplugs at home games, called the press box with his team down 7-0 to complain about the scoreboard display of an error call against him, and whined so much that the New York Daily News ran a cartoon of Baby Bo in diapers on its back page.
  7. They always do a trade like this right?
  8. How normal is it for an owner to meddle( if that's the correct word in this case) in affairs of the GM, if what bucket is saying is correct , and I do believe he has a good memory , then did Jeff discourage Minaya from trading away youth at the trading deadline?
  9. Mugshot
  10. Takahashi is insisting he be used only in save situations, except for when he needs to get some work in to stay sharp, at which point he will expect to be inserted at his request, regardless of the score or how the pitcher on the mound is performing. No, not really, but give him three consecutive save opportunities and watch what happens. The important thing is "heavying up" his entrance music with some shit off this album: From now on, Takahashi said through an interpreter, he will enter ballgames only to "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" by AC/DC, "but it should be clear to Mr. Minaya that my deeds will now be far more expensive to him than previously." A bit disappointing that Tak won't be entering to some Zen music
  11. I don't think it means anything to future free agents , I guess we might not see any resolution until next year. As a fan I certainly have more respect for my team when they take this measure, which of course meana feck all in the big picture.
  12. Martinez looked like he was running with a limp on that steal. Anyone else think that?
  13. @Joelsherman1: Union head Mike Weiner on K-Rod: The #Mets actions are without basis and I expect the union will challenge them right away
  14. Great news , get the process started. I want nothing to do with him, if the Mets see this thing out and he ends up in Philly , I could give a fiddlers fuck. I'm done with him. Booby Ojeda on the pre-game is great , he's gotten better and has grown on me, rarely pulls punches.
  15. Guys , what's with all the questions?
  16. Jerry is doing 2nd base by committee , knows he needs the practice.
  17. Any time they can find out more about ALS is obviously a good thing, as the doctor from the A.L.S. Association says though having Gehrig's name so closely associated with the disease is an important aspect form a money raising standpoint. The connection or non-connection between on field concussions and ALS is interesting.
  18. How many of those old NY Giants players are still around? I met Sal Yvars' not long before he passed , in my job actually....
  19. R.I.P. If asked I would have said he was dead.Did he lead a very quite life?, some of these old ballplayers seem to get forgotten.
  20. Yeah Bucket , stop being a bollox would ya.
  21. Ken Rosenthall is small , like 5'1" I think , apparently it's not a number that can be found online.... plus he has a toupe , my point being , go fuck yourself Ken.
