  1. i remember Bobby V had some choice words for Dibble when he was Mets manager, can't remember the circumstances though.
  2. DocTee wrote: As I mentioned elsewhere, a big FU to Rob Dibble, who questioned the kid's toughness after he was removed from his last start. yeah , what a jerk he is...." suck it up kid and go pitch".......

  4. WOW.....but hey the Nats got a spike in tickets sales when they brought him up.
  5. Bucket , am I reading your list correctly over at mbtn.net , 2005 the Mets were a .500 team at various points in the season 27 times......and down near the bottom of you list is 2006 where it only happened one time? that's some turn around. Nice work
  6. Some piss taker is Ollie Speaking of taking the piss....Omar "We're seven games out of the wild card and we're still in August, so we're trying to win," he said. "We feel like we're still in this hunt and we see the past couple years teams that have made runs and I feel we have a run in us. And we're trying to win all the games. edit for full quote
  7. Will Ramirez have the orange hair tonight again, apparently an attempt to rile the Mets and us fans.

The Fman family is looking at a March 2011 sojourn to Port St Lucie for Fboy's birthday, among other destinations... Lookout PSL , if you thought Karim Garcia and Shane Spencer were trouble you ain't seen nothing yet.

Neither Francoeur or Carter are the answer there for the future and Carter seems more suited to coming from the bench, or maybe that's becasue he rarely starts and that's why I think that. Anyway I won't get all worked up over it...fuck em all. I'm not sure what you mean by future, but by my reckoning, Carter is both the better choice for the future and the better choice for the present with this team. It seems obvious. And if Carter is better sutied to comign off the bench, then Francoeur is better suited to coming off the bench less frequently. Well ,what I mean is I don't think Carter is going to be a full time outfielder for the Mets.
  13. Did they give the answer to the SNY trivia? I gave my son a bath and when I came back they were giving the all time leaders as Pettite and Rivera. Question What combo of starter and reliever hold the Mets record for wins/saves?
  14. Dying over here...over here
  15. Mets lineup: Reyes, Pagan, Beltran, Wright, Davis, Francoeur, Thole, Tejada, Misch
  16. the sun will come up tomorrow. This has become this years " meaningful games in September" for Fred. It's so fucking stupid the way this has been latched on to.
  17. John Cougar Lunchbucket wrote: it's just so hard to reconcile with the Castillo/Tejada thing, which is the exact opposite. Does anyone get it? When you think about it like this it makes it all the more confusing, the only reason I can come up with is that Francoeur is a great guy and Castillo is a surly prick.

  19. Regardless of how much money he makes coupled with his "it's hard to be here " comment I can see why he's frustrated, it's not like he got benched for Honus Wagner.
  20. I thought Sherman had some interesting thoughts today http://www.nypost.com/p/sports/mets/lesson_from_lou_ALCWdYyZlxqHT5NuhnzUQL http://www.nypost.com/p/blogs/hardball/up_mets_manager_nova_bautista_GshIk5voHiGFna0V9zbVWO
  21. Damon staying with the Tigers twitter says. I am sure they would have welcomed him back, especially if he was hitting and they were winning but by not going I supppse they will hate him forever....who's the idiot now?
  22. Mr. Koo announces his retirement in Korea.
  23. To what FK said @SI_JonHeyman: not that it matters in 2 cases, but damon has right to veto trades to #yankees and #rays as well as #bosox. 21 in all he can veto.
