  1. Forgive me if this has been mentioned elsewhere, but kudos to Kong for the great bits of knowledge at the beginning of IGTs!
  2. He did it without Recker on Sunday, too.
  3. This is quite a slide they're on. I think a week ago they had a legitimate claim for being the best team in baseball through the first month. Hard to say that now.
  4. I want April back...
  5. [sarcasm]Well sure, he's been on the bench for two days.[/sarcasm]
  6. WAR leader...just sayin'.
  7. Agreed. I took more positives from April than negatives based on my initial expectations of the team. Here's hoping this continues into May.
  8. The best part about that picture is that George Lucas does not appear to be in the room.
  9. I can help with that...let's do it!
  10. I have very few baseball cards left from my youth. The Topps '86 Mets team set is one I still have in a plastic box in the basement somewhere.
  11. 3 of Recker's 6 starts have been with Gee as the starting pitcher and, likewise, 3 of Gee's 6 starts have been with Recker behind the plate. Gee's 2014 line in Recker games: 2-0, 22.1 IP, 12 H, 3 ER, 5 BB, 13 K, 1.21 ERA Gee's 2014 line in d'Arnaud games: 0-1, 18.1 IP, 16 H, 10 ER, 8 BB, 14 K, 4.91 ERA Small sample sizes, but it was obvious yesterday that the two were in sync. I don't have the time to look at their 2013 stats together, but I do see Recker had the lowest catcher ERA of all the Mets catchers last season.
  12. I'm surprised by the Yankee wasteland that is most of Virginia and North Carolina. Seems like a great breeding ground for Nats fans.
  13. Great pitching by Gee. Great game called by Recker. Great defense from Wright. Great homer from Young. That was a pretty nice home-stand considering how woeful the offense has been so far this year.
  14. My daughter's first laugh and clap in excitement of watching me get excited during a Mets game: Abreu's home run. That stat is going in the baby book.
  15. I missed it...I was watching the stretch Ronnie was talking about.
  16. Wow. David's playing some D.
  17. Terry is awfully committed to Curty pants in the two hole and NOT batting Duda cleanup. Mystifying.
  18. Per Rubin: The Mets will aim to move four games over .500 on Saturday night for the first time since July 14, 2012. That's not nothin'.
  19. Ashie62 wrote: It is early .. but Kevin is on track to possibly be the face of the entire Fox Sports Network one day.. Considering how fast he rose in the past season calling NFL games, I tend to agree.
  20. Friday Night Fish Fry!!!
  21. 4th best team in the NL by record. Even at April 25th, I don't know that I expected that. It's a long season and this will be moot if they can't find a way to score more runs.
  22. bmfc1 wrote: Good news for those of us who live outside of New York: the exclusivity blackout has been lifted so if the FOX game is not shown in your local market, you can still see it on mlb.tv and Extra Innings. Yea!!!!!! Saturday baseball on TV will be a brand new thing for me.
  23. From a dugout shot I saw the other night when it was raining, the bench did not look natural with the moisture. It made me think it was synthetic at the time.
  24. Damn wind. That was a HR swing from David.
  25. I missed the Facebook connection. Makes much more sense.
