  1. Leadoff single by Reyes squandered in the first. Kaz pops up, Beltran Ks, Delgado flies out.
  2. Glavine 4 LoDuca 3 Heilman 1 Wagner 1 Floyd 1 OE: I don't even remember what game I just watched. Too used to putting Sanchez in there.
  3. All the other NL East teams lose again. Division lead to 7 games. Nice to win 2 games in a row in ATL. Glavine is a stud.
  4. Golden colored sombrero for Delgado. If he has a bad night every 23 games, I'll take it.
  5. LoDuca gets his first HR of the year. KABOOM! 1-0 good guys.
  6. Through 5: Mets: no runs, one hit, no errors ATL: no runs, four hits, no errors
  7. I HATE when leadoff doubles don't score a run. No excuse.
  8. Wright 4 Martinez 3 Reyes 2 Wagner 1
  9. I love Carlos! Not that one...the other one. Whadda guy!
  10. Brewers on their way to sweeping the Braves 5-2 in the 7th and Washington getting shutout by those red hot Reds 5-0 in the 8th. Would be a great day for another win.
  11. Good game all around. Let's take the series tomorrow.
  12. Good for Cliff. He deserved that after hitting the ball very well the past few games with little to show for it. Up to the bullpen now...I like the chances.
  13. I have a theory that Willie has something personal against Trachsel. Not using him after he was ready last year, calling him the No. 5 starter, taking him out after 73 pitches when he's pitching a gem. Not that this was the worst decision ever with a struggling offense, but Willie has never, ever done anything to show confidence in Trachsel.
  14. LoDuca guns down Winn stealing...I love the D tonight...saving this game so far.
  15. I thought Dawson immediately...never would have guessed Torre.
  16. I right click on the screen and it's an option under zoom.
  17. Hernandez: "I've always said, it's always been a position [first base] for a left-hander." As a right-handed American, I'm pretty offended. Is he saying that I can't play first base?
  18. First player ever to get injured running the bases on a HR?
  19. Huh, Barry hit a home run. Guess we should have walked him. SC=50
  20. All other NL East games are over and they all lost. It would be a nice night to gain a game on them all since they mean as much now as in September.
  21. I hated the facial hair rule. We're not the Yankees. I agree with looking neat, but come on.
  22. Nady showing the guns...erases the single by Niekro on a good throw.
  23. Reyes stays back, sticks his front leg, gets a hit, steals second, on to third on the error, scores on a hit by Paulie. This is how every game should start.
  24. Weather: 54 degrees, cloudy Wind: 14 mph, Out to RF
  25. Edgy DC wrote: does anybody really doubt that women have something to offer baseball, and that, if they demonstrate qualifications, should be allowed to hold jobs within baseball? I have no objection to women serving any role of which they are capable in any occupation across the board. From owner to massage therapist to GM to bullpen coach to centerfielder, if a woman can demonstrate the same qualifications as a man they should be equally considered. I think Keith ran his mouth because A) he had never seen a woman in the dugout before...neither had I, and I think we both thought that a woman breaking that barrier would have had more publicity and attention than it had. She was in uniform, which most training staff members are not. On first impression, it seemed like she was the winner of a radio contest or somebody's girlfriend or one of the foul line ballgirls which caused him to react citing the rules of baseball which prohibit certain individuals from the dugout. C) Baseball like most other sports, politics and religion have long been dominated by men. Tearing down those walls is going to be a long, slow process. I would love to say that America can immediately break those unspoken, history laden walls, but my faith in that institution is weak. Are we discussing Keith's big mouth or gender equality? I don't necessarily agree with the way he handled the situation, but I believe the entire situation has been blown entirely out of proportion. I'll say it again, if we allow gender issues to be dominated by the comments of an ex-baseball player, especially one who by his own admission has had somewhat of a checkered past, then we are doomed to fail from the start.
