Especially since we live in an age where nearly everything is visually recorded and instantaneously put on the internet for the whole world to see. I believe Disney has a procedural manual that is inches thick on dos and don'ts for it's costumed employees. The Mets have to have something like this, right?
  2. I've been semi-checked out since the series in Milwaukee. I skipped all the games with Arizona. I checked in on games with the Angels and Padres, but I'm not seeing a lot to be encouraged by yet. After watching nearly every game the past three seasons, I'm not having any fun with the Mets this year. I just end up grumbling for three hours. I understand that the team has been decimated by injuries, but I feel the problems are deeper than that. We'll see what happens once Cespedes and Matz get back, but so far outside of Blevins and Conforto this season has been a big fat disappointment on most fronts, IMO.
  3. I think you have the lineup correct...though the vid caption on the MLB page says "The Mets' wives and girlfriends visit the...", so they may not all be Mrss.
  4. I give a lot of credit to Terry. He nurtured a team without much talent through the lean years and, as far as I'm concerned, got the most out of those teams. He also took two teams in 2015 and 2016 that could have easily given up mid-season and got them through adversity and to the postseason. I honestly felt (and still feel) that he was originally hired as a placeholder to babysit the club through the tough times due to the Madoff losses. But, I'm glad he got the chance to continue with the team once the talent matured and the payroll increased.

  6. Yesterday's game was the first one I've missed this year and it was by choice. I'm tempted to say I am out until they win, too...but the Mets are kind of like a drug for me. Even though I know it could lead to continued disappointment, I imagine that I'll still tune in.
  7. It may take me a while to get over this series.
  8. I hate baseball. That was the least fun I have ever had at a ballgame. What a miserable experience.
  9. City names on the front of home unis bug me.
  10. Cabrera makes up for his earlier lazy error with a nice play to end the third.
  11. Darth Vader is on the field, both teams are wearing pink unis and Chris Christie is sitting about 20 rows behind me. It's going to be a strange night.
  12. I'll never understand what Star Wars has to do with baseball, but it is Star Wars night at Miller Park. They did it when the Mets were in town last year, too.
  13. Had great seats for the game...if we were any closer we'd be playing. The tickets said row 4, but the first three rows were taken up by the camera well, so it was really row 1. [fimg=500:20n2cnib]http://i.imgur.com/Lnl2xTp.jpg[/fimg:20n2cnib] I sat next to an older couple that drove in from Sioux City, Iowa. The guy had a voice like Lou the manager from Major League. Harvey had horrible body language all night. The whole team seemed flat. The best Brewer fans of the night were three guys that dressed up as Batman villains. The Penguin and Riddler were half-assed, but the Joker was the best. [fimg=300:20n2cnib]http://i.imgur.com/BKR8dnT.png[/fimg:20n2cnib] I'll be back for game two...hopefully with a better result. As an aside...I wasn't driving last night, so I stayed out late, had a few beers and woke up with a headache. I still showed up for an optional softball practice this morning. How about that, Matty?
  14. Yeah, just keep doing THAT Milone!
  15. Dude...I was moments from stepping in for you. I'm glad you were here to extend the streak! [youtube:4oqjdkn0]bFHEuKkTa5k[/youtube:4oqjdkn0]
  16. What time are you calling? I believe there is a six hour time difference.
  17. Paul LoDuca.
  18. Looks like he might make his next start on Friday in Milwaukee. I'll be there...within shouting distance of the dugout. I don't think I've ever yelled at a player to pull his head out of his ass in person, but this may need to be the first time. I've always wanted to give Matt the benefit of the doubt. Still, at this point in his career he should have more respect for his craft, for his teammates and for the fans.

  20. Agreed - winning this series will be better than splitting.
  21. Still 9 days away, but I'll be in attendance for 05/12 and 05/13 at Milwaukee. I'm still holding out hope that they be back at .500 by that series. I'll be skipping the pink-ness on Mother's Day.

  23. This was a good game and a had-to-have win...though, I also thought our goose was cooked in the ninth. It was nice to see some signs of life on offense. I have big-time worries about Familia right now. WTF?
