  1. Cool pic. It doesn't look like any of them use that stupid goalie helmet like Schneider did. I like that. On edit: Coste does...what an ex-Phillie piece of douche.
  2. Take that Delgado!
  3. Is Takahashi already not impressing?
  4. (pronounced TOE-lee) Had no idea.
  5. Thanks, irish! That's pretty funny.
  6. What's this subscription crap? Can a brutha post a pic for me?
  7. From Adam Rubin's blog (via Metsblog): Fernando Nieve arrived and threw a bullpen session. It was Nieves first time throwing off a mound since mid-January, when he was pitching in the Venezuelan winter-league playoffs. Theres no sense of any lingering trouble from the gruesome quadriceps tear he suffered last season in Atlanta. Nieve is the pre-camp frontrunner for the No. 5 spot in the rotation, according to Jerry Manuel. Nieve is out of options and would need to pass through waivers to be sent to the minors. 8. Right now, I consider Boston the favorite in the AL East. The Yankees had a decent offseason, but Boston is stacked any way you look at it.
  9. I'm beside myself at how giddy I've been for today all week. It's still a long way to opening day, but today is a start.
  10. I've been expecting exactly zero out of Escobar since he was signed. If he finds his way to the mound in a regular season game, I will consider it a bonus.
  11. Have we collected his wifey yet?
  12. This is a pretty great thread spanning 6 months of the 2006 season with contributions from a lot of us. Remember when things were so good we had to have a thread dedicated to how things might go bad? Nowadays we need to have a thread dedicated to what could go right.
  13. Cubs Fans' Leadership Secrets? Really? "Get drunk early, fade away late."
  14. Page's best work IMO (and most "bitchy") is in this one: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0424136/
  15. If there is one actress in Hollywood whose presence in a movie makes me instantly not want to see that movie no matter how good it is supposed to be, it's Julia Roberts. Sandra Bullock is a poor man's Julia Roberts.
  16. The Nationals may not finish last this season. The NL East is going to be fun/nerve-racking.
  17. I think it is waaay to early to predict this. Figgy could get though waivers. I think Niese is the leader going in, but could get passed by many players, including some not on this list, during ST.
  18. I can select up to 5 options?
  19. This film is set in Austin, TX and the surrounding areas, yet none of the major characters have Texas accents. WTF?
  20. I really wish the ChiSox would have kept him past 2005. It was really foreign to see him hit his 500th in a Blue Jays uni. Class act and first ballot guy all the way in my book.
  21. There are too many BOCs in here to count...some of them unintentional and ironic. Definitely the most entertaining thread of 2010 so far.
  22. He's supposedly a clubhouse guy and a mentor on every team he's been on. I wish we'd have picked him up 4 years ago, but he can't hurt.
  23. It would have been a better pickup in 2006. Still, I like Frank.
