  1. 26 total strikeouts this game so far. Do it, Joe. Ride that horse to oblivion.
  2. The Indians got to Chapman last year. It was just that the Cubs got to, uh, Tomlin, I think, more.
  3. Wow. This may turn into a game yet. Betances morphs into Rick Ankiel and the middle of the order is coming up with first and second and none out.
  4. Best defensive club in the AL right here, folks.
  5. I think so, but my Indians fan friends were on board with it. Francona is generally a good manager, so he's racked up a lot of good karma with the fan base.
  6. Fuckshit. I missed most of this, but saw the Salazar error and am now on the subway home and just saw the Sanchez HR on Gameday. Bryan Shaw is Doug Sisk reincarnated. He's really not bad, but seems to give up runs exactly when you don't want him to. 7-3 feels a lot worse than 6-3.
  7. Francona is going with Bauer tonight for the Indians on 3 days rest. The #4 and #5 starters, Clevinger and Tomlin, both pitched in Game 2. Bauer has never gone on three days rest. The catchphrase here in Cleveland is "In Tito We Trust", but I'm not feeling great about this.
  8. Frayed Knot wrote: So even though these teams get a day off today before resuming on Sunday night (7:30) the bullpen that the Yanx lean on so heavily has been taxed pretty heavily and might have trouble bouncing back if Tanaka finds himself in early trouble in Game 3 Between the games Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday each of their relievers has made two appearances except for Warren & Garcia who each pitched in only Thursday's game Chad Green -- 2.1 IP / 52 pitches total David Robertson -- 5.0 / 77 Tommy Kahn -- 3.0 / 37 Aroldis Chapman -- 3.0+ / 47 Dellin Betances -- 3.0 / 46 Adam Warren -- 1.0 / 22 Jamie Garcia -- 2.2 / 44 Tanaka has no trouble at all, but Girardi's going to the pen anyway. Go figure.
  9. Damn. Just listening, but that sounded like a great catch by Judge.
  10. Yeah. But on the bright side, the Cubs lost.
  11. Fortunately, he's not there to run well or play defense at all. I'm cautiously optimistic.
  12. Looks like the Superfans are in attendance and one of them caught Rizzo's home run.
  13. ...and I was sitting there thinking, "just walk or something so that we can get to Lindor with less than 2 out".
  14. HOLY SHIT! YAN GOMES!!!!!!
  15. On WTAM (1100 AM, your Cleveland Clinic and Indians station), they're discussing 1986.
  16. Sprained ankle; doesn't look good. I was out at a really bad play and missed the comeback. NNow I'm in the lobby with a room full of people checking scores on their phones.
  17. 6-3 actually. Anyone can have a bad day, I guess.
  18. And Sabathia gives the runs right back. I'm listening, not watching, but it doesn't sound like anyone has pitching command tonight. ...and Encarnacion apparently hurts himself running back to second base on a line drive. Shit.
  19. Kluber not having an easy time of it in the first. 2-0 MFY's on a Gary Sanchez home run.
  20. Cody Allen coming in to get 4 outs in a non-save situation. Terry F. is taking no chances.
  21. And three of those were in one inning.
  22. I mean...was pitching.
  23. The TV screen needs to STFU about this game Bauer is pitching.
  24. SANTANA 41. It just makes my head explode.
